The Els for Autism Foundation was established in 2009 by PGA Tour golfer Ernie Els and his wife, Liezl, shortly after their son Ben was diagnosed with autism. The Foundation's mission is to help people on the autism spectrum fulfill their potential to lead positive, productive, and rewarding lives. The Els Center of Excellence in Jupiter, Florida is a world-class campus hosting leading-edge programs and services for individuals with autism. Because of his hard work and dedication to having a positive impact on those with autism, Ernie Els was presented with the 2017 Heisman Humanitarian Award. #Heisman #MoreThanATrophy

Today is World Autism Day, and we celebrate the 1 in 36 children who are on the autism spectrum. As we celebrate this day, let us all remember to be kind. As parents of a non-speaking child with autism, we know firsthand the unique joys and challenges of raising a child on the spectrum. Our son Blake, is the most amazing little boy, and we could not love him more. If you know him, you know his smile lights up the room. He is our proof love needs no words. Let us all take a moment today to learn more about autism. Education and understanding are key to building a more inclusive world for everyone. Check out the link below to learn more about autism and how you can help make a difference.
