Just finished the "Who TF Did I Marry" series by ReesaTeesa on TikTok before heading out to eTail West in Palm Springs, and wow - what a rollercoaster! It's fascinating to see TikTok evolving from short clips to hosting engaging series that keep you (or at least me and 10M other people) hooked for 50 episodes (each one 10 minutes - good thing you can watch in 2x speed)! Has anyone else binged this series? The storytelling, honesty, and twists were unlike anything I've seen on social media platforms. It's a testament to how content creators are pushing boundaries and leveraging TikTok's unique format for deep, serialized narratives. Also, noticing how brands are starting to engage with and respond to series like these on TikTok is intriguing (pretty sure BMW will respond eventually with her dream car!). It opens up a whole new world of possibilities for brand storytelling and audience interaction. What are your thoughts on this trend? Have you seen any innovative brand responses or collaborations on TikTok lately? 🌴 Looking forward to discussing this and more at eTail West. If you're attending - find me in the lobby and let's discuss this crazy story over a drink (my treat)!

Speaker reels should be MORE than just showing off your credentials or sharing video clips of you on stage sharing the nuts and bolts of your ‘method’, ‘formula’ or service. Cam Beaudoin of The Frequent Speaker, creates speaker reels that sizzle and not only show off how amazing you are, but also incorporates emotional resonance. He tries to capture moments where you've connected with your audience, whether it's a personal story or a powerful call to action. These emotional touchpoints can help event planners envision the impact you could have on their event. They want to know how you’ll engage and inspire the audience. He also shares his process of creating speaker reels, including selecting content, storytelling, and music. I’ll put the episode below so you can watch, listen or skim! #PodcastInterviews #SpeakingOpportunities #ProfessionalSpeaking #PodcastGuesting #SpeakerReels

Niches get the riches. As the creator economy evolves traditional media companies should be careful not to pass up opportunities to start serving passionate niche audiences. As Evan Shapīro brilliantly breaks down here, the creator economy is simply "a segment of Media focused NOT on pure reach, but rather built entirely around monetizing the passions of specific audiences." The best part of experimenting in this space is you can try things with relatively low risk. Before it's too late - start that podcast, start that newsletter, start that YouTube channel, create that website. It might seem like a small side project now with lots of work and little immediate return. But that side project could be your next million dollar business. If you don't serve the niche, someone else will. Also, remember, LOCAL is a niche. #radio #media #broadcasting

This episode hit for me at a very timely moment. My 💎 was PERMISSION. From Eddie - It’s not only ok to step away and to let the creativity in you breathe but critical to sustaining the art of your craft. 🔥 We all need to hear this at times to interrupt the guilt monologue in our 🧠 about what we “should” be doing. From Devin Reed - It’s also ok to do something for reasons beyond growth & metrics. Connection, creativity, resonance are all very relevant to fueling the quality of your outcomes. Thinking about starting or currently running your own business??? Here’s why you need to be tuning in to this podcast: 1️⃣ The full blast creativity & cultivation by Devin in this solopreneur venture is inspiring me personally to expand & be bold. Consider it fuel for your personal brand & get lit.🔥 2️⃣ Learning how to expand & improve what you are already doing or learn something totally new. We ALL have to write, market, and communicate to achieve our goals, no matter the industry. Period. 3️⃣ The reality of it. Why is it so important to connect with your customers? Because literally all human beings crave being understood and acknowledged. This podcast works for the same reason. It just finds you there, where the vulnerability of being you is. Thank you Devin for all you’ve put into this. What you’re doing is hitting. Keep at it!
Four weeks ago I flew to Chicago, rented out the coolest basketball court in the city, and recorded conversations with the most talented creators and marketers I know. I just dropped episode 5 of Reed Between The Lines with 🇺🇦 Eddie Shleyner — the best copywriter I've ever met. And it's not what you'd expect... He reveals the shocking story of getting his work stolen by an LinkedIn "influencer"— including how Eddie confronted him... Plus: → How to stay inspired as a creator → What it REALLY takes to be a successful writer & entrepreneur → How to develop a unique style that stands out from the competition It's a banger. The visuals. The conversation. It's inspiring. I'm proud to bring you something DIFFERENT today. I know you'll love it. ✅ You can watch the full episode on YouTube now (tap "visit my website" by my profile pic) Orrrr Listen on Apple and Spotify 🎧

I have the most effective three-second pitch: "I get you on TV". The key to this approach is finding the right story. I shared this on @poppyowen's podcast recently. So many businesses make the mistake of thinking their product, service, or business story is enough to get them media attention. This may have been the case 15 years ago, but it's not now. Audiences are drowning in information. We're bathing in stories. All platforms are figuring out how to capture attention. When you think about what audiences are looking for, the answer starts to appear. Audiences are looking for answers to their problems, big and small. They're looking for authenticity. Connection. Most of all, their looking for ways to make life a little bit easier than yesterday. How can you fill that story? And how can I help you tell it on the biggest stage?
