People in India, when starting their career, lose their lives to find work. Once they start working, they start losing their lives due to work. And once they get in too deep in their work, they keep working until they lose their lives. Work is never greater than your life. You were not born to work, but born to live. Recognize your self worth, apart from your CTC. START KNOWING WHO YOU ARE APART FROM WHAT YOU DO. #ey #worklifebalance

Happy Independence Day - India! When I decided to incorporate Everyday People Inc. in Canada and expand to Bangalore, India, in 2019, the decision was deeply rooted in my personal experiences. Leading a team of recruiters at a previous job allowed me to work closely with colleagues in India. Those multiple stays enriched my professional journey and instilled in me a profound appreciation for the talent and motivation I encountered. Navigating this new terrain involved a learning curve, but it also strengthened my ability to assess and connect with exceptional talent. When I started Everyday People Inc., I knew the journey would be challenging, but my experiences had equipped me well. One thing I hadn’t fully grasped at the time was the sheer number of globally influential CEOs who hail from India and the vast presence of leading multinational companies that have established significant operations there. For instance, Sundar Pichai at Google, Satya Nadella at Microsoft, and Shantanu Narayen at Adobe are just a few examples of Indian leaders steering some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies. Moreover, India is home to offices of global giants like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, and IBM, among others. Historically, only companies with substantial finances and resources could establish a presence in India, further strengthening their market dominance. This made it increasingly difficult for small to mid-sized companies to compete globally. Enter Everyday People Inc. We’re changing the game by making it possible for small and medium-sized companies to hire top talent in India without massive investments. By breaking down these barriers, we’re levelling the playing field and ensuring that businesses of all sizes can benefit from the incredible talent and innovation India offers. Incorporating Everyday People Inc. in Bangalore was one of the best decisions we've made. It's a reminder that great talent knows no boundaries, and the presence of so many global leaders and companies in India is a testament to the country’s thriving business ecosystem. If these giants are here, it’s clear that India is a place where talent and innovation flourish—and now, thanks to Everyday People Inc., businesses of all sizes can tap into this potential.

My friend chose India over California after receiving a high-salary job offer in California. I was talking to one of my friends a few days back, and she shared with me that she had two job offers—one in India and another abroad in California. Both opportunities were good, but the decision wasn't as simple as just picking a destination. I asked her how she decided which one to choose, and here's how she approached the decision: 1. Career Growth and Learning Opportunities: Both roles offered distinct growth, but she had to consider where she would gain the most industry exposure, skill development, and the potential for upward mobility. Staying in India might provide a deeper understanding of the local market, while working abroad opened doors to global learning opportunities. 2. Work-Life Balance: Every country has its unique work culture. In India, there’s the comfort of home, friends, and family. But in many other countries, work-life balance can be more structured, with defined working hours and a focus on personal well-being. This is an important decision to make, especially after the recent EY and McKinsey tragedies. 3. Cultural Exposure: Working abroad offers the chance to experience new cultures, languages, and environments—a big plus for someone who loves to explore the world. On the other hand, staying in India ensures you're within familiar territory and close to family, which can be a great advantage. 4. Financials & Cost of Living: The salary for the global opportunity was higher, but so were the living costs. The opportunity in India was also good, but not as lucrative as the one abroad. 5. Long-Term Goals: She said she had to ask herself: Where do I see myself in the next 5–10 years? Is it building a career with a global network or contributing to and growing within India’s rapidly evolving industry? The most important question! Did I miss something? In the end, there’s no “right” answer to this question—it’s about what aligns with your personal and professional aspirations. Although she picked India because she wanted to stay close to her family, she said something that hit me hard: "Aditya, time ka kuch nahi pata, maybe kab kis ko goodbye bolna padh jaye." If you’re in a similar situation, what factors would influence your decision? Let me know in the comments! LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating #joboffers #careeropportunities

To all Indian organizations, I’m not saying every company follows this trend. There are organizations like Tech Mahindra, where I had the privilege of working for a significant period. It truly upholds the values it sets for its employees, making it difficult for managers and leaders to be ineffective or neglectful in people management. However, many organizations still operate with a top-down approach, focusing solely on profits while forgetting that profits come from people. When employees are happy, confident, and secure, it leads to higher productivity. Employee well-being is directly linked to productivity—neglecting it will have the opposite effect. https://lnkd.in/eqAaR2_y
