Empowering people to create a better future with inclusive, innovative and data-driven solutions | Entrepreneur, Manager, Researcher, and Designer
Over 900+ responses 😱 😡 Some people will look at this post and see "great another 900 people competing for jobs" vs 😇 These are 900+ people to learn from one another. As someone transitioning, you are constantly told "Look at other portfolios". I have gone to look for different websites with portfolios with broken links and everything else. Instead of going to a specific website to look, I am going to review some of these professional portfolios. As a community, we should do more post like this to get information of other peoples talent, and also provide assist one another to grow. 🎇🎇🎇
Hey UX Designers. Juniors, Mid levels, Seniors. UI specialists & generalists: please drop your portfolio in the comments. I like to have an eye on talent when hiring season is coming up. Edit - Woke up to 50+ PMs, 250+ connection requests, and 500+ comments. Obviously I can't reply to everyone. Save the introduction and just include a portfolio link please. I'll get to those eventually. #designers #ui #ux #opportunities

Finding a job in the realm of UI/UX and product design can be a daunting task, particularly for junior designers. Here are some of the key hurdles that I believe contribute to the complexity and frustration of this process: #UIUXDesign #FindingJob #JuniorDesigners #Hiring #UIUX

Senior Product Designer at Propeller | Ex-Intercom, Alfa-Bank | UX/UI generalist with 8+ years of experience in SaaS and FinTech | Design Mentor | Global Talent Visa Holder
We have so many product design role names that it’s confusing not only to non-designers but also to the designers themselves 😅 - Product Designer - UX/UI Designer - UX Designer - UI Designer - Product Experience Designer - Interaction Designer - Service Designer - Interface Designer - Web designer - … Some of these roles are getting separated because of the skillset required. For example, UX and UI. But some of them are just different names for the same thing. So what can we do with all this? These are just names. We should focus more on the responsibilities and what we can do for our customers and business. I think this naming issue was driven by the super fast growth of the Tech industry in the previous decade, and now things are going slower and more consciously. All these redundancies across different companies, hiring freezes, fewer design roles, and the boost of AI are all signals of transformation. Once again, don’t think a lot about the names, focus on the impact you can deliver 🚀 #uxui #productdesign #futureofdesign

🧠 We’re hiring #UI and #UX designers in my area and I’ve gotten a lot of questions about how I see them differently! Here's my thinking - but I’d love any thoughts you have in the comments 👇 👁️🗨️ UX is about interaction design, while visual design is primarily UI 🖼 Wireframes and prototypes are built by UX and engaging graphic design is lead by UI 🎨 UX thinks about information architecture, while UI is thinking through color palettes 📈 Journey maps and usability testing falls mainly with UX but importantly layout and typography is with UI While I see these as distinct areas of expertise that complement one another, there are some activities both experts are responsible for - like ensuring accessibility 💛 And, there is of course a great deal of overlap and definitely immense collaboration! 🤝 😻 We’re looking for both of these experts in Product Innovation and Development! Head over to ETS Careers to see the full JDs and apply! #hiring #remotehiring #designers

Friendly reminder for designers Entry level jobs should not require 3 years experience. We need to promote an inclusive design culture for those breaking into our industry. Entry level jobs should open doors, not close them. Agree? #ux #ui #career #entryleveljobs #productdesign

This is so important. Entry level roles should be facilitating fresh talent entering into an industry.

Lately, my job search has been flooded with Senior-level UX Designer positions. The opportunities for experience designers are great, but where are the entry-level jobs for people like me? It feels impossible to get that crucial experience in order to grow as a designer. We need opportunities to gain experience, but most openings require experience to begin with. 😕 #UXDesign #EntryLevel #JobSearch #DesignCommunity

🚀 I help innovators build amazing experiences that people love - Service Design | Experience Design | UX Research
Someone in my circle might genuinely be interested in this, but it won’t make Ben’s Senior, Remote, UX Research Jobs List (someone please suggest a pithier name!), for three reasons: ⭐️ Mixed Design/Research roles are not UX Research Roles ⭐️ Very few people (relatively) can do either (UX Design, UX Research) with a high level of skill; doing both exceptionally well requires many years of experience, and this role doesn’t seem to be seeking someone with a 10+ years under their belt. ⭐️ Companies that combine these roles are not correctly prioritizing generative research; so you’re likely being asked to design a thing based on “business requirements”, and then *maybe* you get a couple of days to run an evaluative research project with 5 users, if you can find a way to do it for free. So apply and take this job with care, and open eyes!
fully remote ux generalist role (research+design) available at blenderbox, a government-focused UX agency: https://lnkd.in/gCr-8xxF #uxresearch #jobalert
