Emotional Energy is constantly CHANGING. -It’s never static, never predictable. -One day, you may feel ready to take on the world, and the next you may not even want to leave your bed. -But, it's still important for us to show up to work and put our best foot forward, whatever our BEST may be that day. -And it’s up to leaders to gauge and understand how those differing energy levels will affect their team’s work. -Is your team barely making it through a stressful time and feeling the BURNOUT? -Are they needing a REST after a long and hard project? Or are they chomping at the bit ready to TACKLE the next big thing? These feelings are always in flux, and it’s a leader's job to navigate that ebb and flow. And for Coach-Like Leaders, this is second nature. Because Coach-Like Leaders take the time to build strong, trustful relationships with their teammates, they can better gauge how their people are feeling and connect with them on a more personal level. They celebrate spaces of psychological and emotional safety, giving everyone the chance to express how they feel with no fear of consequences. Shame can often feel like a weight we carry around, telling us we're not enough. Unlike guilt, which focuses on what we did, shame digs into who we think we are. One might take the Maslach Burnout Inventory and find themselves in burnout. They could realize they’ve been operating in burnout for years. They may not have an idea how to make nescissary changes to get out of burnout. As a leader recognizing burnout in your people it is important for you to engage and be directive to help them restructure their work. Taking things away might not “feel” good and they might feel like they are being punished. The alternative is a leader or supervisor piles on more work. This leads to the individual pushing deeper into burnout without reprieve or recovery. If this continues in cycles the individual will feel worse and worse from dropped deadlines etc and the organization will suffer. Give a hand to the individual and encourage them to seek assistance to analyze how they got to burnout and what key contributing factors are. This might require therapy. This might require restructuring their daily routine. This might mean the individual leaving the organization. The desired goal includes what is best for both the person and the organization.

You have more control than you think. Keep your eye on the "optimal" zone. When you are aware of the patterns, process, and purpose of your work you have control. When you are just working to work... you become a victim of randomness and overload. Stay aware of your stress zone to stay on top! Be that leader💪 #selfawareness #emotionalintelligence #leadershipcoach

“Come on, speak up! Tell me your ideas, your point of view!” said the team lead. The team lead gets frustrated when none of her team and subordinates are voicing out. Why? 🤔 This happens when leaders oftentimes cut off, yell, shame, speak condescendingly or sarcastically towards their teammates. Leaders, a gentle reminder, learn to listen without interruption or judgement. Listen with curiosity and have proper conversation instead of the power play that you pull to make yourselves seem superior when in reality, YOU are restricting your team from growth 🙅♀️ When you make people feel inadequate in doing their job, most of the time, they’ll believe you. They will have a thought like “Since whatever I say is going to be shot down and she makes me feel like I’m stupid, I might as well not say anything. What’s the point?”. You are diminishing their confidence, which in turn will affect their mental health and this will affect the quality of the work. 💎 A leader's role is to uplift and inspire people into their brilliance, not undermine confidence 💎 #leadershipdevelopment #empatheticleadership #consciousleadership #projectmanagement #projectmanagementprofessional #strategicthinking #strategicleadership #projectmanagementtips

Leadership shows interesting patterns in our relationships and how we move through the world. As a leader, we often face the “same problem - different day” mindset. We look on the outside, and often become a victim of the pesky problem that just keeps lingering. We try to “fix the problem” but I’ve found the alternative option of changing my perception is the better route to go. What we believe about ourselves determines how we show up in the world. Belief is everything. The mindset of your team matters most. How you feel is key. You elevate performance by dissolving self-doubt, fear, jealousy, insecurity, and guilt. If you suppress the fear, you stay there - in a victim loop. Fear is costly - in life, business, and our overall health. When you clear the fear, you rise to occasion - to share your gifts. Clearing fear creates power, purpose, and peak performance. I coach people to change at the root level. I am trained to work with the subconscious mind. We create change by altering your perception. My work creates automatic and lasting results, and I stand behind it. I clear the fear in our session or your money back. With this approach, there’s really nothing you need to do, but to show up. The shift is on me. You just get to watch it unfold. I’m sharing a link on ways to work together. >> https://lnkd.in/gYwmKSJh #subconsciousprogramming #subconsciousmind #nervoussystemregulation #mindbodysoul #mindsetcoach

Watch out for horns and halos! 😇😈 You know those people who have difficulties seeing any fault in their own kids, pets or favourite office friends? They might well be afflicted with the unconscious bias known as halo effect. What happens is people tend to let someone’s positive attributes in one field influence what they think of the person in other fields. Basically if you see someone being very nice to their old grandmother, you assume other completely unrelated traits to be positive too: 'This person is probably good at meeting their work deadlines.” ⭐⭐⭐ It works the other way too - the horns effect. If you have a negative perception of someone, you might judge more harshly and expect less of them in other aspects. 😖 And statistically, if you expect less of people, they will quickly begin to meet your expectations. 🤷♀️ It’s not a great basis for an objective approach to people, and if you are a leader, it can become really toxic, really fast 💀 Good news is that having #feedback and evaluation processes that minimise or delay gut feelings and knee jerk reactions can go a long way to give your brain a chance to make fair assessments. #leadership #unconsciousbias #communication
