Thanks for this. Looking forward to listening to all this fab content. I do a talk called “Accessible digital design; neurodivergent designer”…in case you’d like a voice from the world of accessibility and inclusion in digital. Always up for doing my talk in good places. And I will be using the sunflower 🌻 lanyard for the first time soon in Manchester airport. Hopefully it’ll help !
Wearing the sunflower has helped start conversations with people about my migraine and trigeminial neuralgia, instead of the focus being on my walking aids that are visible (some days not others). 🌻
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower 💜A group of us at The Johns Hopkins University wanted to create a sunflower Zoom background for October to highlight your initiative and Disability Employment Month for our staff. Our art dept said that we couldn't do that because it was your intellectual property. Understood, of course. But we wondered if you have any backgrounds already that we could use or suggestions for creating one with publicly available photos of sunflowers without infringing upon copyright.
Love this 👏 Rare diseases next? 😜😜
Thank you for highlighting eating disorders as a disability, and opening up the conversation for others 🧡
🌻 sunflower is a move in the right direction, just unfortunately not accepted everywhere, as a user it will take sometime for everyone in society to recognise hidden disabilities. WWould love to be part of it , as an autistic person, I also have hypotonia (happy I found someone else with this condition as well) 🌻
I would love to be a guest on your podcast: I bring the combined experiences as a sunflower user of having dyspraxia, hypotonia, and thyroid disease. Who would I reach out to in order to express my interest in being a guest?
Loving this, would love to talk about hearing loss and menieres disease and or vestibular migraine if you have an episode planned with these topics, I have experience in all 3.
Love to do a feature on your podcast 🌻
