On Friday 15 March, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners published its ESG Report 2023. Our robust ESG framework and procedures enable us to effectively address risks and pursue opportunities on CIP, fund and investment levels. This is pivotal to ensure long-term sustainable value creation for the planet and local, often rural communities, as well as for our investor, business partners and employees. In the past year, we strengthened our efforts to measure and manage both positive and adverse impacts, and our ESG focus areas included: 1. Maintaining high ESG standards as we enter growth markets. 2. Decarbonising the operations and supply chains of investments. 3. Implementing high standards in nature and resource stewardship. 4. Building and maintaining positive and long-term relationships with local communities. 🚨The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D) is now in force!🌍 Effective from July 25, 2024, CS3D requires large companies to implement due diligence processes to address their impact on human rights and the environment. Part of the EU Green Deal, it aims to promote sustainable business practices globally. Key obligations include risk-based due diligence across supply chains, climate transition plans, and annual reporting. While many public entities may be exempt, indirect business relationships could still require compliance. #Sustainability #CorporateGovernance #CS3D #HumanRights #EnvironmentalImpact #EU
