We are devastated to share that a missile attack heavily damaged Hillel Dnipro in Ukraine just before students arrived for Shabbat. Thankfully, no one was injured. Our hearts are with our Hillel family in Ukraine.

I am counsciously posting it becase in business we talk a lot about ethics, sustainability, corporate social responsibility. - When an employee is bullied at the workplace - it is obviously unethical. - When the company runs business and tolerates bribes - it is obviously unethical way of running business. - When people write that LinkedIn is for business content only and we should not post about the war atrocities, I perceive it as hypocricy. Because the whole country is being bullied and it is still being tolerated. A lot of international companies still run business and gain profit in russia, pay taxes to russia - these taxes are used to produce weapons to kill Ukrainians, to ruin our cities. This is also being tolerated. What I observe while on business trips outside Ukraine: in the local news the coverage of the unprovoked full scale invasion of russia to Ukraine is quite scarce. Therefore, the question from foreign colleagues, clients and friends 'Your situation is getting better, safer and calmer, isn't it?' - appears quite logical. No, it is not getting calmer and safer. This is the situation. Please be informed. After today's attack people got killed, injured, homes ruined in a number of cities. My Kyiv is among them.
Morning when your neighbour is Russia. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Sumy regions were under missile attack. Reported dead and injured. #RussiaIsATerroristState

Today morning was a massive missile attack on Kyiv and other ukrainian cities. One of the targets was children hospital (where children from the whole country are already fighting for their life with the toughest diseases like cancer, new borns ICU, etc.). Another target residual building. Another office building. Everything during the morning hours when people go to work, school, walk with their children. The most terrifying thing for me is that I don’t see much coverage of that in any international media. Ukrainian people are basically left to die silently. It’s not only about politicians to decide, but politicians are also listening to people. If there is no attention -> no help. I’m writing this at least to ask you to help with at least raising the voice to support, if possible to donate, if possible to talk to your local representatives to help or if you are one of those who is making the decisions - please help Ukraine to defend from terrorist russian state. Voice matters. Every cent matters. Care and attention matter. #russiaisaterrorriststate

Feeling absolutely devastated and powerless after today's terrorist attacks against children and civilians by a state that took over the presidency of the UNSC this month. I learned about them while providing commentary on tomorrow's NATO summit, as my phone could not stop buzzing with notifications, so I knew something terrible had happened and checked it, given also the Kremlin's morbid fascination with dates. Russia must be stopped, and to make this happen, the West must remove self-imposed red lines against Ukraine's use of Western-made weapons for striking targets like weapons depots and airfields used to host strategic bombers. More long-range capabilities should be provided to Ukraine so that it can strike those very bombers. Creating an air shield over Ukraine will never be successful without this step - no matter how many air defences you supply. Primary and secondary sanctions should be strengthened, and sooner or later, China's role in supporting Russia's war effort, namely by providing dual-use components - should be addressed. These are just a few steps, but a more systemic reconsideration of the West's crisis and escalation management approach should be underway. I hope it will be discussed tomorrow in Washington...

LET UKRAINE STRIKE BACK UNCONDITIONALLY Let Ukraine defend its women and children! Enough is enough! This is slaughter! This is #GENOCIDE https://lnkd.in/gANStfrH As I hunker down, praying #beryl passes Houston within a day and the city is spared major damage I think of little babies with IVs attached in the basement of #Okhmatdyt hospital and their mothers, who are praying to be rescued alive, praying to see another day. I think of the families who have lost loved ones today. Ukrainians are fighting with their hands tied behind their backs! Kyiv was hit with at least 3 hypersonic missiles fired from an airbase in #rostov region. An airbase beyond the currently permitted fire range. An airbase from which more death will come in the future.... A total of ~40 missiles were fired by ruZZia across a number of cities in Ukraine, hitting predominantly civilian infrastructure. Please call The White House and urge the administration to: 1. Empower Ukraine strike inside russia airbases and other military targets without restrictions. 2. Establish a humanitarian safe zone over Western Ukraine protected by Western air defence. 3. Offer Ukraine a CLEAR and IRREVOCABLE path to NATO membership during this weeks NATO summit. #LetUkraineStrikeBack #russiaIsATerroristState #russuaKILLS #standWithUkraine #nato American Coalition for Ukraine

this morning russia hit Kyiv with a large combined missile strike. One of the targets - on the photo. It is the largest kids hospital in Ukraine. Multiple casualties. Hundreds of sick kids with their mothers under debris. Ukraine is still not allowed by the international partners to target the source of this evil.

The barbaric evil that is the Russian military and leadership knows no limits. Early this morning Russia bombed, among other civilian targets, Okhmatdyt, the oldest children's hospital in Kyiv. And yes, there were patients--children-- in the hospital at the time. And yes, Russia knew. Putin and the Russian military are the personification of evil. Time and time again, they have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity. Their despicable amoral campaign knows no bottom. But perhaps more important? The ordinary Russian citizen goes about their day with little thought to what's happening in Ukraine. Why? Not just because they are fed a diet of propaganda. It's because their day-to-day lives are not substantially impacted. And why is that? Because so many multinational and American companies have chosen profit over people and justice. Among the many countries that continue with business as usual in Russia are Carl's Jr., Benetton, Guess, Patreon, Riot Games, and TGI Fridays. If you work for or with, or patronize any of these companies, I'd ask that your reconsider, and raise your voice against supporting pure evil in action. Only when the common Russian person on the street feels the impact of Putin's soulless aggression and imperialism, will they start to make things uncomfortable for the leadership. Slava Ukraini.

Kyiv's forces are in a race against time to leverage the American-made long range ATACMS—the MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile System—against Russian targets in occupied Ukraine, as Moscow's troops begin again their cycle of adaptation to new weapons. White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan revealed in April that the U.S. had already supplied a "significant number" of ATACMS to Ukraine in secret, fulfilling Kyiv's long-held ambition to acquire the long-range weapons system that puts all of occupied Crimea in its crosshairs. The U.S. had already supplied shorter-range variants of the ATACMS, but Ukraine now has missiles that can hit targets at a range of around 190 miles. This is "a capability we will continue to provide," Sullivan said. The ATACMS are already making an impact across occupied Ukraine. Russian air-defense systems, air bases, and training sites were among the first victims of Kyiv's new ATACMS offensive, with speculation rife that the Kerch Strait Bridge will be among the eventual targets.

This has barely made news today in the background of the other news of the day. This news is not new unfortunately. russia is purposely targeting hospitals, supermarkets and other public places to make ppl feel desperate and unprotected, to let them beg for the war end at any conditions. This is part of the bigger “peace negotiations” agenda on russian terms. I.e. destroying the Ukrainian statehood one way or another. One thing is clear now is that this war will continue till either Ukraine submits (not as long as ammunition is available) or russian empire / reich collapses. We can hope for the other options but should mentally prepare for the inevitable reality. Half measures don’t work in the times of war.

if anyone wants to have a clear, indisputable example of what a #warcrime is, this is it. No fighters hiding behind civilians, no possibility of not knowing what it was. Justice must be served even if that means tremendous sacrifice and suffering such that humanity can evolve to the point where such behavior will be immediately and globally punished without regard to individual interests. Altruistic policing and punishment in behavioral economics.
