Wow! I'm excited to share I was selected for Cella's Hilton Talent of the Quarter Q3 2024 award. I wasn't expecting this so it was a great surprise. 🥳 It inspired me to share some of the things I love about my current role: 1. My team. When interviewing for the role I asked each person I talked to what they liked about working at Hilton (a bit cliche, but I genuinely love asking this question). Everyone made a point to mention the team and how passionate, collaborative, and encouraging every single person on the team is. I couldn't agree more! I've been blessed with some great teams in the past but Hilton takes the cake in terms of everyone collaborating and supporting each other to create great work. 2. My managers. Having a good manager is so, so crucial to your experience in a role and your career progression. My manager and those above her offer great insight, and clear, valuable feedback on how I can take my work to the next level in a way that's encouraging and respectful. They're supportive, communicative, encouraging, knowledgable and ready to go to bat for our team—which is huge for anyone, but especially in the world of social where you're pitching concepts and edits almost endlessly. 3. Being trusted to do my job, and given the space to do it well. Similar to what I wrote above, but it deserves it's own callout. There's no micromanaging on my team but everyone is willing to support when you ask for it. Right off the bat, I felt my ideas were encouraged, respected, and valued by my managers and the rest of my team. 4. Traveling. Those who know me know I *love* to travel. Planning, shooting, and subsequently editing concepts for shoots of varying size has been nothing short of incredible personally and professionally. Bonus: not only are the people I work with on the shoots themselves great, but the Hilton staff at the hotels we stay at from the front desk, concierge, to housekeeping, the dining staff, and more are so kind and accommodating as well. All in all, it's been a great first six months and I'm excited to have had my contract extended. I can't wait to see what the rest of 2024 brings! - #Hilton #Cella #ContentCreator #Career #Award #SocialContentDesigner #SocialMedia

A heartfelt reminder of why I love being a hotelier! This adorable drawing was made by a little guest who stayed with us at our hotel. Moments like these make all the hard work worth it. I'm often asked why I chose this career, and my answer is simple - it's my passion, not a necessity.I've always dreamed of making a difference in people's lives through hospitality, and this little one's artwork is a beautiful reminder that I'm exactly where I'm meant to be #HotelLife #Hospitality #PassionOverNecessity"

Customer experience DOES matter - even for the little things. I travel a lot for my job. Early on, I had to choose which hotel brand to frequent, and I chose Hilton brands. A few of my more recent events have had me stay at Marriott Hotels instead. I arrived to this hand-addressed envelope in my room last night. Silver Elite status isn’t super high on the list, but I do have to say I really appreciated the effort. For all my stays at Hilton (and I have a pretty high stay-status there), I don’t remember ever getting anything personalized (more than the onscreen welcome with my name). It has me considering making the switch of hotel brands. Now, if only I could move those points over, too…. But I digress. The point here is to take the time to offer special and personalized experiences to your customers, your Trades, your Partners, and your employees. Something as small as a personalized note can go a long way. #WelcomeToHomeBuilding
