Our nation owes a debt to its fallen heroes that we can never fully repay. Nearly 1.2 million American souls have lost their lives since the end of the revolutionary war defending our freedoms. This lifestyle that we as Americans enjoy to live in peace and prosperity has come at quite the cost. Many families will be mourning loved ones this weekend while the rest of us enjoy time poolside or at the beach, grilling hotdogs and hamburgers. If you know a family who has lost a son or daughter or a brother or sister due to military service, take some time out this weekend to give them a call and acknowledge the family’s sacrifice.

I interviewed with Kaitlan Collins from CNN last night, sharing my thoughts on what it means to be a reservist in the Israel Defense Forces. The main question was "how do you leave your wife and kids behind and go to the front lines?" My answer is that as reservists, we all have families, friends and responsibilities in our personal lives, but when our nation's safety is brutally attacked by the barbaric Isis=Hamas, and continuously threatened by Iran-Hezbollah, we all understand that if we do not unite as a family on the front lines and fight the forces of evil, our families at home will never be safe. As the horrible atrocities of slaughtered babies, women and children burned alive, and complete inhuman acts by these vile creates continue to surface, we are also witnessing harrowing acts of valor by our soldiers, police officers and civilians who have been fighting since Saturday to keep our families safe, with some making the ultimate personal sacrifice, in order to defend the Jewish state of Israel. We will prevail.
