It is not me to assess if the acquisition of Thales Transport by Hitachi Rail is the best choice and what does it mean for their competitors. What I know is, that we have huge challenges wrt. #mobility in front of us. Therefore, we need strong players. For me it is less a question of competition than “all together” we can master the huge tasks. In this way, I wish Hitachi and the former Thales people all the best and a lot of success as a unified team - together with the other players in our sector. Each merge is accomplished by critical issues, but moreover by opportunities. Hopefully, they can realize much more opportunities than suffering from problems.
