New Publication!! Our recent work on low-thermal budget #ALD grown #ferroelectric materials-based analog memories operating between room temperature down to deep cryogenic temperatures is available online (link below). In this work we show HZO-based devices are capable of working efficiently as analog memory and for #neuromorphic circuits, which lays the foundations for further developments in ArCTIC-KDT. This was the last work that I led at VTT and will now continue in more interesting trajectory at Tampere University. These are his 𝟭𝟬 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: ☀ The SiliconPV fosters the exchange between scientists as well as the economy on current research in PV. ☀There have never been more installations of PV modules than in 2023. ☀The replacement of PERC cells by TOPCon cells is going faster than expected. ☀Surface and contact passivation are the hot topics in TOPCon development. ☀Replacing ITO and silver are still important issues to reduce the use of scarce materials in heterojunction solar devices. ☀Circularity and sustainability are becoming more important as more modules are deployed and out on the field. ☀Minor efficiency improvements have a huge impact on the overall electricity production from photovoltaics. ☀Tandem cells bear an enormous potential, and the first full modules are being studied. ☀Photovoltaics has become a commodity and margins are very low. This is the biggest challenge for todays and future PV manufacturers. ☀Europe needs consistent policies and subventions for PV manufacturers to stay competitive.
