❗️ Avoidable, unfair and systemic, inequity in health has been a part of the system since it began. To reshape the system, we must start every conversation with equity in mind, using technology as a lever. 🤔 But how much accountability do we have to the people in which we’re developing new technology-driven systems for? 📣 At HLTH Europe 2024, Adimika Arthur, Executive Director at Health Tech 4 Medicaid made clear it's only through collective accountability that we can drive meaningful change and build a truly equitable healthcare system. 🌐 Healthcare leaders must connect with communities broadly - beyond their immediate stakeholders - to ensure we don't lose our human connection to those we ultimately serve. 📹 Catch up on the insightful session 'Levelling the playing field: Putting equity at the centre of the discussion' over on the HLTH Community platform 👉 https://lnkd.in/e7c3c_hT #HLTHEurope #HealthEquity #Techquity #HealthcareInnovation #Healthcare #HealthcareComms #DigitalHealth #HealthTech

3moThough leveling the playing field remains a distant goal, it is reassuring that we continue to bring important issues to the table for discussion. By addressing what we have been avoiding and emphasizing the importance of accountability and collaboration, we acknowledge that achieving health equity is a long-term endeavor with no single solution. Additionally, I wholeheartedly agree that leveraging technology is crucial to enhancing our efforts and driving meaningful progress.
