Let's decorate the roads with inspiration and drive forward into our 'Third Act' with a bumper sticker that screams, 'Life begins at 50!'. What would your bumper sticker say? ______ As an aside about bumper stickers … I did a little trip down memory lane to recall bumper stickers that stood out to me over the years… “ Keep on Truckin’” was a popular one in the 70s especially for aging Grateful Dead fans. Then there was the “My other car is a Porsche” that you’d see on the bumpers of Honda Civics in the early 2000s. An interesting statement of the times. “Proud mother of…..” you fill in the blank— an honor roll student, captain of the baseball team, and other varieties of children's accomplishments that proud parents wanted to tell the world about. “Baby on Board” was a must have for anyone carrying young children in their car, in hopes that other drivers would be careful around them. Then there were a wide variety of Stick Figure bumper stickers, indicating the size of peoples’ families, or those featuring a particular cat or dog breed, usually accompanied by a heart. ________ Imagine your life's philosophy as a bumper sticker: What bold message would adorn your bumper as you embrace the thrilling horizons beyond 50? #QUEST2024 #thirdact #333collective #community #embracethejourney #reinvention

ven the most ardent Batman fans might not recognize this car, but this convertible with old school whitewall tires is said to be the very first officially licensed Batmobile ever made. Most of us knew that that real-life Batmobiles started with the famous George Barris-customized Lincoln Futura, but this recently discovered Batmobile built from a 1956 Oldsmobile precedes the Lincoln by years and is the only real option for lovers of the original comics. And now for all the old-school Batman comic lovers, there is a once in a lifetime opportunity as the one-off hand-built is up for auction for a starting price of $90,000. original-batmobile-5Billed as the oldest-known ‘Batmobile’, the custom car was recently found and restored and is being offered by Heritage Auction in Dallas. Built in a family barn, it took designer Forrest Robinson three years to complete, and then the car spent three years traveling the country as a promotional vehicle, until it was replaced in 1966 by the Lincoln Futura from the TV show. The ’63 Batmobile was said to have been abandoned and forgotten in a field, where it spent the next 50 years or so until its rediscovery in 2008. This Batmobile is the closest in resemblance to what appeared in the 1940’s Batman comics, with its large, central back-end fin and a bat-like front nose. How much it will sell for is anyone’s guess. #batmobile #classiccar #vintagecar #batman #comics

Pinning your trigger to the rear, also known as "click banging," is something that, unfortunately, many of us are taught when we first learn to shoot pistols. Doing so impedes your ability to shoot at a higher speed and have quicker follow-up shots because the gun cannot return efficiently. The next time you go to the range, take special care to ensure you're allowing the trigger to reset during recoil. When dry firing, you can also prevent this habit by immediately taking your finger off the trigger when practicing your trigger press. Or, you can place a piece of cardboard between the slide and barrel of your pistol to manipulate the trigger without manually cycling the slide. Michael Levy, also known as @knockoutlights on Instagram, gave this great piece of knowledge; check him out for more great information!
