Make your own vanilla extract! Yes it is possible. Homemade vanilla extract only uses 2 ingredients, vanilla beans and alcohol. 1. Slice the vanilla beans lengthwise. 2. Place them in a bottle and pour the alcohol over them, covering the beans. 3. Cap the bottles and store them in a cool, preferably dark place. Shake or invert the bottle several times every once in a while. Viola! You do have to wait for a while.
