While we can debate how PWC will identify and engage our stakeholders of long-term care, their work will take 2 years or more. Let's work with what we already heave: our voices by way of Resident and Family Councils https://iltccabc.ca/
https://lnkd.in/djEhsAen While this new funding model will take at least 2 years before it hits the pavement, let's keep working together. Resident and Family Council with their long-term care homes. Making a difference with what they already have...their voices! Respectful and collaborative dialogue continues to create improvement in long-term care. Thank you Councils!

Fast Approaching - Legal Essentials for Caring for your Aging Parents. A Chance to learn more and have the dialogues before you need them. Check your calendar Monday November 13th at 6:00 pm. The goal is to be prepared with not only documents but knowledge to be able to easily step in when you are needed. This year I have had many families that either had Trusts that needed updated and reviewed or did not have any documents at all. This caused more work at a quicker pace to allow the family to step in help their parent. If family dynamics are an issue, which is also happening more and more, this should be discussed and addressed in planning. The goal is to center on the parents in need and be able to quickly assess their options. Please tell others that might want to learn more and to see Maplewood Long Term Care in Twinsburg. It helps to have looked at options and have your questions answered before having to need to use them. Maplewood is respectful and engages their residents. I hope we will see you next Monday at 6 pm. #estateplanning #forwardthinking #proactiveapproach
