The GISB scandal is beyond religious matters, at the center of it is 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 (and the lack of it) Among the children in registered institution now: ◼ 73% had a living parent who was contactable ◼ 30% reported poverty or divorce as the reason for entering care (more stats in my previous post!) Pouring more donations to encourage more orphanages is like building more prisons to combat rising crime rate. Invest your CSR fund in real solutions instead! 💙 "Solutions to child protection need to be multifaceted : 🔵 strengthening laws, 🔵 better assessment of problem areas and an implementation of policies, 🔵 building human resources and professionalism, 🔵 improving data, measures and awareness, 🔵 changing norms and forging public partnerships, 🔵 increasing accountability" Spread the word, keep the focus on CHILD PROTECTION and demand justice. https://lnkd.in/gxcGQ8Qp #childprotection #CSR #corporatesocialresponsiblity

Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) is not new but is believed to be rare, with our most conservative estimates being about one in every 100,000 children. Annually, more than 400 U.S. children, aged 1-18 years, are affected by unexplained deaths. Similar rates of SUDC occur in the United Kingdom and Wales, with approximately 40 children affected. SUDC is an equal opportunity tragedy and a global issue. The SUDC Foundation is the only organization worldwide dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and supporting those affected by SUDC. All our trauma-informed services are provided at no cost to families. For more information, visit www.sudc.org. Please "Like" & "Share" to #ShineALightOnSUDC #MarchIsSUDCAwarenessMonth to let others know about the SUDC Foundation and the important work we're doing to support families affected by SUDC and living in a world without SUDC. By coming forward to support orphaned children, we not only change their lives but also contribute to building a more compassionate and inclusive society. Imagine being a child without the comforting presence of a family. Orphaned children often find themselves in unstable and insecure situations, lacking the love, guidance, and stability that every child deserves. By stepping forward to support these children, whether through adoption, fostering, or providing financial assistance to orphanages, we offer them a sense of security and belonging that is crucial for their emotional and psychological well-being.When we extend a helping hand to orphaned children, we not only transform their lives but also cultivate empathy and compassion within ourselves and our communities. Outreach Grid’s Dispatch Management and Mobile Response System at HOPE Center is built for and used by our dedicated dispatch teams to prioritize, assign, and resolve incoming calls and service requests right at the point of work. Here’s how it works: 1️⃣ 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑹𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: Non-emergency homelessness calls are redirected to dispatch line. 2️⃣𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: Dispatchers prioritize/assign calls. 3️⃣ 𝑴𝒐𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆: Dispatch units respond to incidents, providing services like shelter referrals and case management. This system ensures timely and effective help, reflecting our mission to offer the right resources at the right time. #hopecenter #dispatcher #homelessness #communitysupport #resources #dispatch #homeless #housing #support #orangecounty

There is an African proverb that says, "A Mother is incomparable". While we cannot deny the incredible role our mothers play, we also need to celebrate the communities and individuals who show up for our children. In countries like South Africa where nearly 60% of mothers are raising their children without their biological fathers, the concept of "Collective Mothering" has become a reality in so many homes and communities. Collective mothering refers to a community-based approach to caregiving where multiple individuals, beyond just biological mothers, participate in raising and nurturing children. In socioeconomically marginalised communities, where resources and support systems may be limited, collective mothering can involve extended family members, neighbours, or community elders helping to care for and support children. This approach recognises that the responsibility for raising children is shared among the community, fostering a sense of solidarity and mutual support among caregivers ❤ https://lnkd.in/dyjUvzp2 #mothers #collectivemothering #community #earlyyearsdevelopment

I ran across America (to end youth homelessness). Now I run a pet treat company, @Treat Collective to Make A Difference in your pet, in our planet and in the lives of youth experiencing homelessness.
Runstreak Day 1339 Running 3.14 miles daily to raise awareness and advocate for the needs of 4.2 million youth experiencing homelessness. The impact of youth homelessness is far-reaching and multifaceted. It not only affects the young person directly experiencing it but also has significant social and economic implications. Children and teenagers who are homeless face challenges in accessing education, healthcare, and a community of loving support. This lack of support can hinder their development, create instability and limit their opportunities later in life. It’s imperative we do all that we can to love, equip and guide at-promise children & youth. That’s why we are acting to develop and support programs that provide: Awareness Advocacy Alliances Advancement Because we know that only together will we make the collective difference. #runstreak #trail #trailrun #Jesus #inspiration #motivation #endhomelessness #endure #strength #courage #legacy #awareness #advocacy #alliances #advancement
