We recently had the opportunity to speak with Jared and Miki and ask them some questions. Here's how the conversation went. What made you want to work with Hope House’s Better Food Co Project? At Crafty Ramen, our purpose is to craft meaningful connections, so that together we can create a difference in the communities we serve. We wanted to work with Hope House’s Better Food Co Project, because of their important work and connection in a community that gives us our purpose. Hope House brings so much support to the community we love and we want to help in any way that we can. What does a community food system look like to you? We believe everyone should have access to quality, healthy meals. For us, a community food system is a way to connect communities through good food, and for those fortunate with more than enough to share with those that may not have enough. We created this project to share healthy food with low-income families. Why is that important? For us food is about more than sustenance—it is a way to show people we care about them and that they are valued. To provide quality food to those in communities that may not have access to it is our way of showing them that they are valued and perhaps even provide a little hope. We’ve all needed a helping hand at some point in our lives, and with this project we can pay that back and extend a hand to those that need it today. What excites you most about sharing this meal with our community? To us, ramen is the ultimate comfort food, so sharing our ramen with this community is our way of giving them a big hug and saying we care.

We appreciate your patience as we got together our Food Resources list for the month of May 2024. All locations will be closed on May 27th, 2024. Please share with your networks. Friends dont let friends be hungry. There are some new food resource sites as well as slight changes to other locations that have been made so please look closely to confirm the nearest food bank or mobile pantry location to you and that you have the most updated time and address. Please note that all food bank and mobile pantry locations only operate as long as supplies last so to ensure your best chances of being served we recommend arriving at least 15-20 minutes early to your location of choice. We appreciate the staff and volunteers at each of these locations who dedicate their time and labor to ensuring our communities have access to food. Unless specific dates are listed, locations operate on a weekly basis. To view and download a pdf copy of this flyer visit pik2ar.org/els and scroll down to the "Free, Weekly Utah Food Resources Lists" section, clicking the arrow down on "Where can I find the Food Resource Lists?" and it will open to reveal a link to the Salt Lake County List. Additional questions, concerns, or corrects about this flyer contact info@pik2ar.org

When you're working full-time, attending school, and giving back to the community, time management is everything. I love early Saturday mornings—supporting local farmers, small businesses, and planning for healthy meals. Last night’s menu: lamb chops, garlic herb sweet potatoes, and gluten-free cornbread. After a long day, it's the little things that make a big difference. Wicked Grove Gluten-Free Pearsecco was the perfect refreshing way to unwind. Balancing life is all about finding time for what matters most. Cheers to good food, great support, and moments of peace. #TimeManagement #SupportLocal #SmallBusinessLove #HealthyEating #GlutenFreeLife #FarmToTable #BalancedLife #GoodVibesOnly #CommunitySupport #styledbymaiat #HealthyLiving #FoodieLife #RelaxAndUnwind #SustainableLiving
