This weekend we received a team from ASIPONA VERACRUZ at our Puente Villa Rica facility in Mataloma, off #veracruz, Mexico, discussing the importance of well developed distribution centers adjacent to port limits which enables a fast turnaround of vehicles inside the port for both inbound and outbound volumes. We reviewed the total logistics chains from ocean vessels to final destination and dealer in the case of imports, and from production plants to ocean vessels in the case of exports. The starting and end points is the port in both instances. The operating technology is critical as it provides total visibility of inventory movements and each service provided per vehicle, and not the least each movement is pre-planned in the operating system which enables capacity allocation at predetermined time slots, avoiding bottlenecks. Since inception of our operations in Veracruz through Puente Villa Rica, we have jointly with the port managed to reduce the average idle-time of vehicle inventories inside port limits by more than half. Más que inventarios, la situación representa en permitir al puerto ser un Agente Logistico y tener un despacho Aduanero anticipado para evitar el almacenamiento en puertos. El tener superficies, no significa tener movimientos o circuitos suficientes para volumen de carga en Puertos; lo mejor, es identificar el mecanismo (aunque ya existe) que, facilite el despacho anticipado, del volumen de autos para ser eficiente con los mecanismos informáticos EFECTIVOS. Trabajar en volver a agilizar los despachos anticipados permitidos en el marco legal para aprovechar el costo beneficio en horas/hombre/operación/equipo/superficie en puertos para competitividad Portuaria y Aduanera. Cuando opere Tesla y BYD, como lo vamos a atender? Si ellos están convencidos que producirán 1 millón de unidades al año, sin duda la facilitación aduanera ES IMPORTANTE, esperemos que así sea.
