Great message here on developing our people. So often in business we meet senior leaders who won’t or don’t invest in training but yet expect maximum effort and results. So often leaders want a high functioning team, like a SEAL team; but yet they don’t invest in training. What I think these leaders miss is that a SEAL Team spends several hours, days, weeks and months training so they CAN flawlessly execute. They may spend 80% training and rehearsing a scenario so when it comes time to execute, they are prepared. However in business leaders expect the same execution without Investment in Training, Coaching and Development! In business you have to invest in your people. Cost cutting your way to success is not the answer. Developing your people to make sound decisions (Decentralized Command) , to teach efficiency, to execute with integrity and quality; that’s how we win long term. #leadershipmatters Echelon Front
