I was asked by Heimann Cvetkovic & Partners what I looked forward to most at the CMMA National Conference. Easy, networking and continuing education. CMMA’s most valued benefit of membership is our National Conference. I hate to say it, but the content is a close second. Making or renewing those in-person connections really has tangible results. Whether it’s benchmarking, comparing vendors, getting opinions on how to overcome business challenges, or easily making a friend at the conference, you grow to look forward to seeing each year. It’s nice to be able to send an email or call someone else who works in our nitch knowing that they’ll pick up or reply. It’s all about the relationships built here at the National Conference. The content will be outstanding too. The keynote presentation will feature cutting-edge strategies to increase retention and loyalty within your organization and essential business principles to help you create a company culture that keeps employees engaged and customers returning for more. I am even leading a panel of experts where we will explore the end-to-end flow of in-person and hybrid communications, from production to distribution in an enterprise environment. There is so much more happening at the CMMA National Conference, like Leadership and technology forums, presentations on Managing AI in the Creative Environment and Building a Culture of Belonging, and studio tours. And don’t forget the many networking and social events that are included. Just a reminder that early bird pricing ends August 31st so if you’re on the fence, jump in and join CMMA at Best Buy’s and Toro’s corporate headquarters in October. You don’t even have to be a member to attend. See you there… https://lnkd.in/gY7guqgK at CMMA.org.

As Global Speakers Federation (#GSF), we recognize the power of collective action, and as a member association, you become part of a global network committed to advancing the speaking profession. Collaborative projects are the heartbeat of GSF. They provide a platform for associations like yours to join forces, pool resources, and drive initiatives that benefit speakers worldwide. Take, for instance, the inauguration of the Professional Speakers Celebration Day. This global event, which reached over a million people worldwide, is a testament to what we can achieve together. But that's just one of many examples. GSF is also focused on harmonizing accreditations, ensuring that the standards for professional speakers are consistent and recognized internationally. Dual membership benefits, another fruitful collaboration, allow speakers to access resources and opportunities from multiple associations, maximizing their growth potential. And there's much more happening behind the scenes. By being part of GSF, your association has the chance to shape the future of the speaking profession around the world through collaborative efforts. Connect with us and explore the myriad opportunities to work with other associations on international projects. Together, we can achieve greatness and elevate the speaking profession to new heights. 🤝🌐🚀 #GSFBenefits #CollaborativeProjects #ProfessionalSpeaking #GlobalInfluence #AssociationLeadership #CollectiveAction #VoiceOfGSF #GlobalSpeakers #globalspeakersfederation #gsf #associationleaders #speakersassociation #speakersassociation #speakersunite

If you haven't got your tickets for TPC2024 1/2 get buying. I love that this day is going to be leaning into revenues as for most of my ticketing career I have been all about how venues make more money, that started off with QuayTickets many years ago and today with Secure My Booking. It's why I love products that help venues make more money (other than SMB) you have crowdEngage helping venues sell add-on products at the right time which isn't always when you buy tickets (who really wants to think about it they want to drink or if they need carparking months before the show). You have Vatic who can help sell tickets at the right price, what's the right price? the price people want to pay which is often more than we in the industry think people will pay as we have too much emotion in pricing. But also sometimes the right price is lower depending on many factors. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and let data and systems take a lead on increasing ticket revenues. Finally like Oprah's favourite things I love what Line-Up are doing with post purchase up-sales. SMB sits well just as a person decides if those more expensive seats pushed up that order cost more than expected the peace of mind we offer can get them over the line to pay but do you really need that ice-cream up sale at that point or is it best to not add anymore cost to the order and push those up-sales when they are more appropriate, that's what can be done with Line-Up in a seamless way. All of the above are my personal "endorsements" (I sound like a tiktok influencer) based on what I have seen of their software/business but also based on the people leading the businesses as I think you always get more out of working with a company when the people running the businesses are passionate about what they do. #ticketing #revenue #passion #artsandculture #artsandentertainment
