I've been in sales for many years and I've learned B2B Startup sales can be really difficult and here is why... 1. Most startups don't actually realise what they are selling (it's not what you think) 2. They rely too much on product market fit alone and think this is enough to win sales 3. They try to scale sales too quickly without learning critical lessons 4. They fail to realise the founder's subject matter expertise is the key to sales success and differentiation. Basically, they don't have Sales Market Fit and although the market might be interested in what they are building, they haven't sufficiently created a real NEED for their solution.
