Last night’s event, "I Am A Changemaker – Empowering Everyone to Drive Systemic Change in Business and Beyond", was truly inspiring! A huge thank you to the organizers, Andrea Rubik, PhD and Adelheid Moxon from Women In Digital Switzerland and Francesca Di Nora from eBay, and to the speakers Sonia Moscatelli Diwane and Doris Rogger, for sharing their stories and strategies. Your insights on courage, diversity, and bold leadership resonated with everyone in the room. A key takeaway for me is that change doesn’t happen in isolation - it’s shaped by collective action, intentional leadership and a willingness to challenge the status quo. From my experience, here are some of the most critical points to consider when driving change within an organization: ▪️ Align vision with action: A clear and shared vision for change inspires people to step out of their comfort zones. It’s crucial to translate that vision into small, actionable steps. ▪️ Foster a culture of openness: Change thrives in environments where diverse perspectives are encouraged and feedback is welcomed without fear. ▪️ Lead by example: Leadership isn’t just about guidance - it’s about embodying the values and behaviors that the change demands. ▪️ Embrace collaboration: Building alliances across teams and stakeholders creates momentum and sustains transformation. ▪️ Stay resilient: Change isn’t always smooth, but persistence and adaptability are key to overcoming resistance and achieving long-term results. The discussions also highlighted how digital transformation and sustainability are becoming pivotal areas for innovation - and how diverse leadership can drive systemic impact in these areas. It was an honor to join this event and connect with so many changemakers who are committed to shaping a better future. Let’s keep the conversation going and empower each other to make a difference! What’s your biggest takeaway when it comes to leading change? #DigitalTransformation #Leadership #Diversity #Innovation #Empowerment

Diversity in teams isn’t just about being progressive—it’s about driving better business outcomes. 🌍✨ 📊 Harvard Business Review found that diverse teams are 45% more likely to grow market share and 70% more likely to capture new markets. Why? Because diversity brings unique perspectives that fuel creativity, innovation, and better decision-making. 📚 According to Scott E. Page, author of The Difference, diverse groups consistently outperform homogeneous ones, even when the latter are more skilled, because diverse thinkers solve complex problems faster. 🚀 💡 Diverse teams: • Foster creative tension that sparks innovation. • Reflect a broader range of customers, creating stronger connections. • Make organizations more adaptable in a fast-changing world. So, while inclusion might feel like the “right” thing to do, it’s also the smart thing to do for your business. The numbers and research speak for themselves—success thrives on diversity. 🙌 Let’s move beyond buzzwords and make it happen. #DiversityAndInclusion #InnovationThroughDiversity #BusinessGrowth #Leadership #Teamwork #InclusionMatters

Something I believe strongly in is that business can and should be used as a force for good. At BIC, we're committed to making a positive impact on society and creating opportunities for all. When businesses commit to sustainability and community engagement, they unlock new avenues for growth, innovation, and long-term success. It’s about aligning business goals with societal needs, ensuring that while we build successful companies, we also contribute to a better world. This approach benefits not only communities but also the businesses themselves. Companies that prioritize positive impact attract talent, foster customer loyalty, and build stronger relationships with stakeholders. They become more resilient, adaptable, and better positioned to thrive in an ever-changing marketplace. As we move forward, we should continue to challenge the status quo and embrace the idea that doing good and doing well are not just compatible—they are interdependent. #BusinessForGood #CorporateResponsibility #Leadership

From the desk of Dr. Gerilyn Davis: Happy New Year! I hope you are looking forward to 2025. I know I sure am. It is a joy that we can begin again. In Phase Three: Opportunity Planning of the SWORD Inclusion System for C-Suite leaders, we commit to positioning the organization with an inclusive culture at the forefront. --- RISK MANAGEMENT: As leaders, we can not afford not to be inclusive. When we are exclusive, we miss out on opportunities. It is too risky not to be inclusive. --- OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: While culture is critical, operations are the backbone. Collaboration leads to operational excellence. We collaborate by ensuring each perspective builds on the next. --- BRAND POSITION: The unique value of branding as inclusive is that it provides vision and can be essential for brand repositioning. Being an inclusive leader is multi-layered. Yet, as the new year begins, we can look forward to what is to come with an inclusion perspective. 2025 can be a year to reposition! Enjoy the new year! #joyofinclusion #inclusionexpansion #inclusionincludesyoutoo #InclusionontheSlopes #SWORDInclusionSystem #PhaseThreeOpportunityPlanning #csuiteinclusion

With organizations trying to find their footing around their leadership development, inclusion and belonging efforts in 2024, I'm grateful for those personal champions, corporations, municipalities, real estate organizations and travel destinations who have stayed true to their mission, vision and core values and leaned into this difficult work...despite cultural and political pushback...sending a clear and unwavering message to ALL of their internal and external clients that their well-being and business matters. Make no mistake, this work is not for the faint of heart and requires an intentional commitment, collective accountability and an equitable investment to champion the role of a heart ally, one who is... ✔️ AWARE - who understands a strategically undervalued person's lived experience through their eyes... ✨️ Be OK with the fact that "you don't know what you don't know" ✔️ ACCOUNTABLE - who is willing to embrace the same target that's present on a strategically undervalued person's back, as if you --- the heart ally --- are the one being transgressed, ✨️ Lean into stretching and growing moments with curiosity ✨️ Evaluate feelings of fear, mistrust and uncertainty from the perspective of "What is this saying about me?" ✔️ ACTIVE...who is willing to lead with vulnerability and courage... ✨️ Accept the fact that allyship is messy ✨️ Avoid positions of ambiguity ✨️ Speak out while being prepared for pushback from others ✨️ Let your "yes" be your "Yes!" and "no" be your "No!" It's entities like Chase, Delta Air Lines, Ensemble, Komatsu, IGLTA, Marsh McLennan Agency, Omnicom, Modivcare, Ulta Beauty, The Adecco Group, the City of Atlanta and others who give me hope for 2025, and beyond, that this important and much needed work will continue. After all, if things like heart allyship and authentic leadership are not a viable part of an entity's DNA, it's silence or ambiguity on these matters will be revealed in its bottom line in due time. #LeadersRead: The team at Our52 has created a "Leaders Read" series to share books that spark ideas or shed new light on topics. 📚 The Real ROI: In today's AI world, shaped by remote work's rise post-pandemic, reassessing our DEI strategy is crucial. We must go beyond token gestures to tackle systemic barriers, eradicate unconscious biases, and ensure equitable opportunities. As workplace dynamics change, building a culture based on trust and understanding is essential. Without trust, even well-meaning DEI efforts fail. Embracing diverse perspectives and addressing the unique challenges of all workforce segments can create an inclusive culture that fosters innovation. The Real ROI includes interviews with 50 CEOs such as Michael Dell, Carol Christ (Berkeley Chancellor), John Hennessy (Alphabet Chairman), Shellye Archambeau (MetricStream CEO), and Monica Lozano (Apple Board Director) with their tangible steps on how to embrace inclusion. Proudly partnering with ITSMF - Information Technology Senior Management Forum. ➡ Join us & Take the Pledge at Our52.Org! #Our52 #SIM #ITSMFLeaders #DEIB #TechLeaders #Leadership #LeadersRead
