Venture Capital and Private Equity Scouting Mexico & LATAM. Fintechs, Startups, and Payments | Actively seeking high-impact investment opportunities across Mexico and LATAM to drive innovation and growth.
💡. Georges Elhedery.....From my perspective, HSBC has a unique opportunity to lead financial transformation in Latin America with a comprehensive, localized strategy. By adopting advanced technologies like AI and blockchain, HSBC can provide personalized and secure services. Enhancing remittance processing is crucial for families dependent on these funds. Additionally, ensuring linguistic and technological inclusion in remote areas is essential for reaching the entire population. Supporting SMEs and microfinance will drive economic growth, while promoting sustainable products and financial education will advance the region’s socioeconomic development. Collaborating with local fintechs can foster innovation and create tailored financial solutions. Through these initiatives, HSBC can not only strengthen its competitive position but also play a pivotal role in advancing financial inclusion across Latin America. Georges Elhedery will be the next Group Chief Executive of HSBC. Today we’ve announced that Georges will take up his role on 2 September to lead HSBC through its next phase of development and growth. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eH-P-bZs #HSBC

Will we see a non-Wee family member as CEO of UOB in the near future? It's definitely possible. But going by the bold moves by current CEO Wee Ee Cheong in recent years, such as the acquisition of Citi's retail franchise in South-east Asia, that may be some time yet. With the passing of his father, chairman emeritus Wee Cho Yaw, the bank could embark on even more ambitious ventures. As I say in this commentary, @straitstimes, https://lnkd.in/g2RufSif, watch this space.

I had the fantastic opportunity to attend a confidence-boosting and goal-setting masterclass hosted by Kamal Ellis-Hyman and powered by Aim A Little Higher in partnership with HSBC. This event was truly helpful, and I’m incredibly grateful to Kamal and the team for organising it! 🙏 Key Takeaways: Vision & Goal Clarity: We explored how to create a vision rooted in personal aspirations—not just aiming for a job title. The Activities helped us focus on what truly drives us, aligning goals with our values. Building a Personal Brand: We learned to think beyond logos and create a personal brand that authentically connects with others, reflecting our unique goals and values. Confidence is Key: Confidence-building was central to this workshop. From public speaking to group discussions, the activities helped us communicate boldly and stand out. Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: One highlight was addressing imposter syndrome. Kamal shared practical tips for overcoming self-doubt, helping us recognise our worth and take ownership of our space. 🌟 Why it Mattered: This event was tailored for students from underprivileged backgrounds and Aim A Little Highers' commitment to empowering underserved communities was clear throughout the session. It felt like the perfect balance of personal growth and a community impact. A massive thank you to Kamal Ellis-Hyman, Aim A Little Higher, HSBC and Zero Gravity for making this possible. These workshops truly make a difference! 🙌 #PersonalDevelopment #AimALittleHigher #ConfidenceBuilding #ImposterSyndrome #GoalSetting #HSBC #Gratitude #ZeroGravity #SocialMobility

#YeAdDekhiKya 𝐇𝐒𝐁𝐂: "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝'𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤!" 1. As the original agenda of HSBC bank was connecting the East and West, HSBC, in this campaign has emphasized the importance of local values and culture across the globe. 2. When discussing culture, food takes precedence. Therefore, in this ad, HSBC effectively uses references to food to connect two different cultures. 3. They have employed satire in their ads by playfully highlighting their own Chinese culture to underscore the significance of other culture. 4. With the compelling slogan, "We are the global bank that never underestimates the importance of local knowledge," HSBC reaffirms its commitment to cultural sensitivity. 5. The campaign aimed to convey that HSBC understands the unique needs and nuances of various markets, positioning itself as a bank that offers personalized, culturally aware service globally. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭: HSBC saw an improvement in brand perception and customer trust, positioning itself as the preferred choice for international banking and financial services. 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐬 - 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 : J. Sr Corp Banking Mgr at HSBC ||ex Stanchart || ex Citi || MBA (IBA) || BE (Mech) || I write about Corporate Banking, Industry analysis & Personal development
🌟 My days with Naushad Bhai - 1🌟 As Naushad Bhai bids farewell to HSBC, I couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible moments we shared—both at work and beyond. 🤝 Back in 2018, I was managing a public sector client in Chattogram. The "Acting" GM Finance was, well... let’s say, not the easiest to deal with 😅. Resource constraints meant we couldn't meet all demands, and tensions were high. Then, we heard Naushad Bhai was coming to town! 🙌 On the way to the meeting, Naushad bhai asked me if the GM had been confirmed yet. I said "No. He is still in "current charge", yet to be confirmed by his HO". So we went inside his room and sat in front of the client. For the next hour, Naushad bhai didn’t talk a single word on business. 😄 At certain point I found that, both of them were almost crying together for the misfortune the GM finance was facing as his confirmation was getting delayed. 😢 What followed was nothing short of magic—the GM, who was always demanding, did not raise the business issues at all, not even next few months. 🧝♂️ Lesson learned: **Connect with people first. Business comes as a byproduct.** 💡 #Leadership #EmotionalIntelligence #PeopleFirst #CustomerConnection #HSBC #BusinessByProduct #Farewell; Naushad Ekramullah;

TEAM ENDEAVOR - HSBC Business Case Competition 2024_Journey As we wrap up our adventure in this year's HSBC Business Case Competition 2024, it's a mix of relief and nostalgia for TEAM ENDEAVOR. We've been through it all together – from burning the midnight oil trying to crack those tough cases to the adrenaline rush of delivering our presentations. Starting from the intra rounds at North South University and making it to the national stage, every step pushed us to our limits. We had to think on our feet, collaborate seamlessly, manage our time, fine-tune our presentation skills, and gracefully handle those nerve-wracking Q&A sessions with the judges. I can't thank my teammates – MD Fahim, Muqaddim Noor, and Zarif Mahdir Rahman – enough. Their dedication and teamwork got us through the toughest challenges. Seriously, without them, I wouldn't be writing this reflection right now. Here's to more competitions and victories together! I would also like to thank Nurul Ahnaf Ihsas bhaiya and NSU Finance Club for creating an environment where we can have opportunities like this and showcase our best. Also, to those people who always believed in this team, to all of them, a big thank you. To anyone considering taking part in a competition like this, I say go for it. Sure, it's intense, but the growth and learning are absolutely worth it. You'll surprise yourself with what you can achieve, and you'll come out the other side stronger and more confident than ever. #HSBCCaseCompetition #TeamEndeavor #BusinessCaseCompetition #ProfessionalGrowth
