🏚 Gaps in gutters, soffits and fascia are very inviting to cold critters. Inside these crevices, they build nests, chew wires, damage wood and drywall, and can spread to other areas of the home. Once established, they can be very hard to remove. This winter, prevent unwanted guests by sealing up any holes or gaps on the exterior of your home, and install bird spikes in favored nesting areas. 🐦 🐾 If an animal already made its way into your home before attempting to seal, call Greenwood. (303) 823-8455. We can offer humane hazing solutions. #GreenwoodWildlife #WinterWildlifeProofing #WildlifeRehabilitation #WildlifeRescue

Poison hemlock is highly toxic and poses a serious threat to people and animals. Young poison hemlock plants look like carrot greens but have purple or reddish blotches on the stems. In the second year, they can grow 5-10 feet tall with tiny white flowers in umbrella-shaped clusters. Here’s how to handle it: Pull or dig up small plants (wear gloves!) Remove the entire root and wash hands thoroughly Avoid mowing as it can spread toxins Add mulch or replant with desirable vegetation https://lnkd.in/gy-CRJxy

Bridging the #agribusiness knowledge gap. A Multi-Award winning #Farmer & social media influencer on a mission to end hunger.
Good morning farmers. How often do you deworm your cows? Target to deworm your animals every three months but monthly for calves. Your calves must first be dewormed when they are two to four months old ,just after weaning. This should be done monthly for a period of 6 months , thereafter deworm every 3 months. Dont loose your cows 🐄 to worms. Ukulima ni fun. #AgribusinessTalk254

Unless you have self-shedding sheep, your animals need to be shorn! If they are a strong wool type, there is very little money to be recouped for the wool and sometimes it will only just cover the cost of the shearing. Some shearers will take the wool away and when they have enough take it to a buyer but if you are left with your wool after shearing don’t despair! in this article Amanda Bowen looks at ways of utilising that byproduct so that at least it can be used for something. https://lnkd.in/dRtkDJH4

In sheep and goat production, housing type depends on the system of production. The housing need for ruminants or any farm animal is established as one, for better management in a good environment, and two, for the safe keeping of the animals and other assets. The same principle of housing applies to sheep and goat production. #Ruminants
