Rolled steel angles require a working platform for drilling, fixing and making good. Prolonged time spent working at height increases the potential for falling from height. Additionally, working off a confined platform, wearing additional PPE creates uncomfortable working conditions. Telescopic connectors provide a quicker, safer alternative. Quickly and easily deployed, telescopic connectors minimise time spent at height and reduce potential for falling. Indeed, award-winning TSS and RVK telescopic connectors are recognised for their contribution to reducing risks and improving site health and safety. For 30 reasons why telescopic connectors are safer and more efficient than steel angle supports: https://bit.ly/iC_30 #OneADay #30Reasons #TelescopicConnectors #HealthAndSafety #Precast #Concrete #MMC #Construction #ConstructionIndustry #UKConstruction #Offsite #ModernMethodsOfConstruction #Architect #StructuralEngineer #MainContractor #FrameContractor #Precaster #ConnectWithUs #Speed #Safety #Strength

"Revolutionary hull stretching: Extending a ship's life by adding a new cabin between its halves." Incredible hull stretching technology involves cutting an old ship in half and inserting a new cabin or section to extend its length. This process begins with carefully slicing the ship’s hull into two parts, ensuring structural integrity is maintained. Once separated, the new cabin or section is meticulously aligned and inserted between the two halves. The sections are then welded back together, with precise attention to sealing and reinforcing the joints. This method allows for the expansion of a ship’s capacity without the need to build a new vessel from scratch, offering a cost-effective way to modernize and upgrade older ships, effectively breathing new life into them. video rights : offshorechannel #shipbuilding #marine #engineering #construction #civilengineering #civilconstruction #engenharia #engenhariacivil #civilengineer #mechanicalengineer #chemicalengineer

"Telescoping Tower Cranes: How They Grow Taller" You've probably seen tower cranes bustling at construction sites. And one day, you might have noticed that the tower crane was somehow becoming taller. How did this happen? Right under the tower crane’s operator cab is a “telescopic cage” that provides working space for telescoping and supports the top of the crane with hydraulic cylinders and guide rails. Making the tower crane taller works like this: First, the operator cab is raised about 3 meters along the guide rail using the hydraulic cylinder of the telescopic cage to create an empty space. Then, an additional mast section, which acts as a pillar, is added and fixed with bolts. This process increases the height of the tower crane by the height of the new mast section. This method is called telescoping. video rights : Respective owners DM for removal/credits #towercrane #engineering #civilconstruction #civilengineering #architecture #building #civilengineer #engenhariacivil #engenharia

💥 Tower Crane Construction: Structural Stability Takes Center Stage! 🏗️ When it comes to these towering giants of construction sites, structural stability is paramount. Let's dive into the key elements that keep tower cranes firmly grounded and operating safely. 🔷 Foundation Fortitude The foundation is the backbone of a tower crane, meticulously designed as a reinforced concrete structure that extends deep into the ground. Engineers consider soil composition, bearing capacity, and local regulations to ensure this base can support the crane's immense weight and forces. 🔷 Mast Might The vertical steel mast is the crane's backbone, assembled on-site in sections to reach dizzying heights. It supports the jib, counterweights, and cab, playing a critical role in performance, especially for tall buildings. 🔷 Jib Precision Attached to the mast's top, the horizontal jib arm can move up and down, precisely positioning loads with its reach. At the peak, the slewing unit enables smooth, controlled rotation using electric motors or hydraulics, allowing access to various construction areas. With each component engineered for unwavering structural integrity, tower cranes stand tall as marvels of construction technology, safely lifting materials to new heights. 🚧 Incredible Precision Under Pressure 🚧 Watch this: a split-screen operator POV video showcasing the diligent work of a tower crane operator during a concrete pour for a 200m footing, truck by truck. What struck us most was the strenuous effort needed by the operator to maintain a clear viewpoint for the precise pouring of concrete. It's a remarkable display of dedication and expertise, demonstrating the complexities and challenges faced by construction professionals daily. This also highlights how vital clear visibility and control are in such operations. Imagine a scenario where operators have augmented visibility and control at their fingertips, reducing the strain and increasing precision. That's the environment Skyline Cockpit creates. #TowerCrane #Construction #CraneLife #Operator #Builder #ConstructionEquipment #Innovation #SkylineCockpit #SafetyFirst #Efficiency #TechnologyInConstruction
