Deputy Group CEO, Global Operations & Directors for 6 Global Subsidiaries. The Largest & No. 1 Drone Service Providers for 3 years in a row in 2021, 2022 & 2023.
Congratulations to the DroneUp team for this significant achievement. With 500 deliveries per day x $5 max per delivery = $2,500 per day. Definitely need a much higher volume to make it profitable considering the cost of the regulatory approval, manpower, infrastructure, drones & batteries. What does it take for the last mile drone delivery to be profitable? Will the FAA approve 1 pilot for multiple drone operations? Will BVLOS approval become easier? Will the drone platform cost less? Will the battery last longer with a higher life cycle?
💥 Big News from DroneUp! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve become the first in the industry to achieve 500 deliveries per day! This significant achievement underscores our commitment to transforming last-mile logistics with cutting-edge drone technology. We’re excited to continue leading the charge in transforming how deliveries are made by unlocking new opportunities for scale, efficiencies, and innovation. A huge thank you to our team and partners for their unwavering support. Stay tuned for more groundbreaking updates! #DroneDelivery #Innovation #Logistics #TechAdvancements https://lnkd.in/gAQJiWr5

Exciting news from the Isle of Wight: starting in August, the island will host a pioneering drone trial led by Inteliports, one of the UK's leading drone operators. This six-month trial aims to revolutionise logistics, enhancing access to goods and reducing carbon emissions by creating a drone corridor to the mainland. Funded by the Department for Transport and Connected Places Catapult, this initiative is a collaboration between Inteliports and the Isle of Wight Council, which has allocated Mornington Road Long Stay Carpark as the trial site. The objective is to introduce faster and greener supply methods, decreasing reliance on ferries. Key Highlights: 🔹Drone Operations: Up to six flights each way, daily, adhering to strict Civil Aviation Authority regulations. 🔹Partnerships: Collaborations with Vodafone and Pairpoint to showcase drone-integrated logistics. 🔹Sustainable Logistics: Combining drones and e-bike couriers to assess economic, social, and environmental impacts. 🔹Trial Duration: From 7 August 2024 to 7 February 2025. David Park, co-founder of Inteliports, emphasised the trial's significance: “Selected as one of ten SMEs to receive a portion of £1.3 million from the DfT’s Freight Innovation Fund, Inteliports will be conducting technology trials with industry partners. We’re determined to showcase the viability of drone-integrated nodal logistics.” This initiative marks a significant step towards sustainable and efficient city logistics. Stay tuned for more updates as the future of logistics is explored across the Solent! #Logistics #UK #DroneInnovation #SustainableLogistics #IsleOfWight #Inteliports #FutureOfLogistics #DfT

🛩 Navigating the Skies of Innovation: The Last Mile Delivery Revolution As we stand, a transformative wave is about to hit the shores of logistics and delivery services. After over a decade of meticulous development, the reality of mainstream drone delivery is finally upon us. While they may not replace traditional delivery vehicles overnight, the impact of drones in the suburban skies is poised to redefine the meaning of efficiency and environmental consciousness. 🏛 Key developments have unfolded, notably the Federal Aviation Administration's authorization for drones to fly beyond the visual line of sight, significantly broadening the scope of potential deliveries. Companies like Amazon, Zipline, and Wing are at the forefront, expanding operations and integrating innovative technology to enhance delivery services. These advancements are not just about speed and convenience; they represent a pivotal shift towards reducing emissions and traffic congestion, promising a greener, quieter future. Yet, this is just the beginning. The real potential lies in how businesses adapt and innovate in the face of this last-mile delivery revolution. CEOs and Founders, as you strategize for the future, consider this: How will your company leverage this monumental shift in delivery logistics? How will you integrate drone technology to enhance your service offerings, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact? ❓ Jason Kryski with your deep experience & connection into CPG brands I'd be curious on your perspective on how this shift could provide a competitive advantage to brands competing in this increasingly challenging space. Adapt, integrate, overcome or fall behind. #LogisticsInnovation #DroneDelivery #BusinessStrategy #FutureOfDelivery

The current shipping logistics system underserves rural communities, causing companies to lose hundreds of millions each year. This is due to: 1. Limited Accessibility: Traditional delivery systems struggle to reach remote and rural areas, resulting in delayed or missed shipments. 2. Reduced Service: Driver shortages and underutilized cargo vans mean slower deliveries and higher operational costs. This week's company, IONA, founded by Etienne Louvet, combines VTOL drones with fleet management technology to create a rural-optimized delivery network. Early traction has been outstanding with $100M in LOIs based on the company's hardware-as-a-service (HaaS) model. Be sure to check out the full feature linked below.
