HUD OIG joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio to announce the plea agreement of a former executive director of the Clermont Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) for federal program theft totaling nearly $87K.  CMHA received more than $5.9 million in annual federal funds in both 2018 and 2019 to operate and maintain public housing units as well as provide housing assistance to low-income families and individuals. From at least 2016 until 2019, while serving as the executive director, the defendant used CMHA’s credit card to make purchases for himself, including more than $25,000 in retail purchases, gas and hotel expenses (for non-business trips to Canada), and contract work completed on his home. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eidKw384
