The Mats Paulsson Foundations is the collective name for three different foundations; "Mats Paulsson Foundation" (instituted 2003), "The Stefan Paulsson Cancer Fund Foundation" (2008), and "Mats Paulsson Foundation for Research, Innovation, and Societal Development" (2011), where the latter owns Medicon Village. Since their inception, these foundations have distributed a total of 219,086,000 SEK for charitable purposes to promote human health and better lives, with 27,715,000 SEK being distributed in 2023.   Sustainability is important and increasingly vital for all operations. Medicon Village not only has a sustainable ownership model, where surplus funds are reinvested into academic research in the form of donations, but also operates sustainably verified since 2023. I am taking part in Challenge 29 this February to help stop MS, a charity very close to my heart. I will be walking 29 minutes a day to help raise money that will fund life-changing MS research and take us even closer to finally stopping MS. https://lnkd.in/eRQsyGif Any donation will make a difference to the lives of people affected by MS. Here are just a few examples of what your money can do... £50 - is enough to operate a high powered microscope for an hour to study cells and tissue affected by MS at the necessary resolution. £100 - is enough to process 4 blood samples and extract information about genes and the immune system that is vital when testing out new treatments. £200 - is enough to run an MRI scanner for an hour and provide the detailed images of the brain crucial for understanding MS progression. We are currently funding projects that use MRI scanners to carry out trials and understand MS in more detail. #challenge29 #mssociety
