Our Denver team is proud to have recently hosted members of The Honor Foundation for a morning of networking and support. We shared insight into the work we do for both our Denver community and nationally, in addition to the various industries and people we reach through our real estate work. It was a great honor for our team to connect with members of the foundation, and share our industry as a career opportunity following military service. We’re immensely grateful for the service of veterans nationally, and those belonging to The Honor Foundation. Onward! #Denver #Veterans #TheHonorFoundation

In honor of Memorial Day, Lt. Col. (Ret) Kathy Lowrey Gallowitz discusses veterans' unique challenges when transitioning to civilian employment. Jim highlights the valuable skill sets veterans develop during their military service, which often translate well to civilian roles. However, Kathy points out that cultural disconnects, particularly communication styles, can hinder employment opportunities. Employers must recognize and bridge these gaps to fully leverage our veterans' potential. How does your organization support veteran employees in their transition to civilian roles? Share your thoughts and initiatives in the comments below! #MemorialDay #Veterans #TransitionToCivilianLife #ManufacturingCulture #VeteranEmployment

#Reminder: 🧱 Brick orders run through Sunday, March 31. 🧱 🧱 Leave a lasting legacy to a family member or loved one that served in a branch of the United States Armed Forces with the Town of Jupiter’s Veterans Memorial Legacy Brick program. 🧱 The Town of Jupiter Veterans Memorial was opened in 2020 and is dedicated to remembering and honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, as well as those Gold Star families who have had a loved one make the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. How the Legacy Brick Program will work: 🧱 Each brick will have two options: 1. A message with no branch insignia: these bricks will include four (4) lines of text, with a maximum of 21 characters per line. 2. A message containing a branch insignia: these bricks will include an insignia of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard as well as four (4) lines of text with 15 characters per line. • All bricks will be a red charcoal color to match the current bricks found at the Veterans Memorial. • Each brick will cost $100, which will include the production of the brick as well as its installation. • Space is limited and bricks will be placed on a first-come, first-served basis. If the space sells out, the Town will explore additional areas after the completion of the construction of the new Town Hall building. 🚫 No political statements will be allowed as a part of this memorial program. The Town of Jupiter reserves the right to refuse any message or the placement of a brick. 🔗 For more information and to order a brick, visit https://lnkd.in/eJ38esAt. Working on my doctorate, I initially struggled with how to tailor my research. With the help of Dashan Jamel Axson-Lawrence, M.Ed, M.S., B.A., I found my footing when I chose the topic of "Enhancing the Recruitment of Non-Degreed Military Veterans." I've received some great feedback, and the next step is to further my research and meet with lawmakers here in Washington to create laws to combat the high unemployment rate of our nation’s finest—veterans. Excited for the journey ahead! 🤞🏿✊🏿#VeteranSupport #DoctorateJourney #ResearchAndPolicy

Please watch! The messages in this video are amazing because you don't have to serve to learn these messages and you don't have to serve to implement the lessons compiled in the video into your career and the corporate world. No matter where we are it's so important to learn the ends and outs of leadership and to apply what you know to grow your team. Remembering that everyone around you needs to be encouraged and no one should be left behind. Good leaders lead from the front but great leaders constantly check on those in the rear.
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸For those who saw my post before, last year for Veterans Day I wrote an article about some of the most important lessons I took away from my military service. This year, I thought we’d make it a bit more special by asking some of my fellow service members what they took away from their service… and here it is!! Thank you to everyone that helped out, and Trevor Melton for editing. Most importantly, thank you to all those serving and who have served! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 #veteransday #veteransday2023
