Thank you to all the Turkish press for their wonderful interviews and the interest you took in certification. An international certificate gives a client 3 things: ✅ value: up to 30 % more value with an international certificate. ✅protection: without a certificate you don’t know what you are buying, even with a local certificate you have no guarantees. ✅ speed: if you want to sell a vintage or high-value piece of jewellery, it will, on top of the extra value, sell much quicker. ✅ insurance: without a certificate you cannot insure your jewellery correctly. You never know when it gets damaged, lost or stolen. #diamonds #jewellery #luxury #luxurygoods #jewels https://lnkd.in/eZ7tvQP3

Van Cleef & Arpels will no longer authenticate their iconic bracelets, a surprising move with a sad reason behind it. The brand's bracelets, known for their stunning design, have gained immense popularity. However, due to the rise of extremely convincing fakes, Van Cleef can no longer distinguish between originals and copies. From now on, the only way to verify authenticity is with the original certificate. This issue isn’t unique to Van Cleef—brands like Panerai, Rolex, and Patek Philippe also struggle with counterfeit products. Panerai, for instance, has seen fakes so convincing that second-hand dealers won’t accept them without certificates. The counterfeit market costs the luxury industry billions, and it’s not just about money. Buying fake goods often supports poor working conditions and undermines legitimate businesses. In conclusion, always buy genuine luxury items with proper authentication. You’ll not only get the real thing but also support the brands that create them. Ashok Sonthalia, Titan's CFO, shared insights on the potential impact of the lab-grown diamond segment on the company's business and Titan's strategy concerning this emerging market. He noted that while the lab-grown diamond market has gained significant traction in America, particularly in the bridal ring segment, its growth in the European market has been less pronounced. In India, some new brands have entered the lab-grown diamond segment, leading to a rapid decline in prices. However, despite the price decrease, consumer acceptance of lab-grown diamonds remains relatively low. Sonthalia emphasized that Titan's business has yet to feel any significant impact from the lab-grown diamond segment but acknowledged the importance of closely monitoring this development as lab-grown diamonds emerge as a segment within the jewellery industry.
