Yes, injections and overcoming fear of dogs are real struggles, but they DO NOT excuse or justify the harming of an animal. Beating a dog so cruelly for simply lying on the sidewalk is a heartless and cowardly act that causes immense suffering that one can see from the dog crying out in pain, struggling to stand up or defend itself. This reflects a serious misunderstanding of how to handle fear and frustration towards street dogs. What will you teach your children if you don’t know any better than to take a stick and beat a sleeping dog? Resorting to violence is not a solution. There are proven non-violent ways of managing your fear and frustration using compassionate responses. The dog in the video is safe and the man was warned. But what of other stray dogs who are mistreated like this and worse? Please think of your actions. 🙏🏼 Now what should the dog do?
