In order to be a teacher, you have to receive at least a bachelor's in education. You can earn this at any college that offers education as a major. Depending on what age or subject you teach will decide what education to major in. I want to teach kindergarten so I will earn an elementary education degree. Most colleges have the same requirements to get into the teaching program, but you have to take certain classes like math 1050, English 2010, and history 1700. There are many other options for each basic subject, but those I have taken or am taking now. The outlook for a teacher is expected to grow 7-8% in the next year. Meaning there will be a few more teachers, which is great. I can't wait till I am able to teach my own class! The Every Learner #studentinternship gives Hamilton the opportunity to promote the #educationalequity that has become a priority in her life. She and the rest of the team of #interns are researching and testing #AItools, with the goal of producing a #toolkit that provides instructions and outlines best practices for the use of #artificialintelligence in #highereducation. Unpaid internships typically do not work out well for students who live in the crisis of poverty. Even though their housing is taken care of, I would bet they have other needs and do you not have families who can help with expenses.. I have developed a three course curriculum for first gen students. The first term focuses on removing shame, rebuilding hope and confidence. Students learn about real causes of poverty and are able to externalize negative, deficit messages that can get in the way of education success. The second term centers around becoming bilingual --- or fluent in middle class language and communication norms. students gain skills such as middle class vocabulary, sentence structure, learning how close to stand, who to tell what to, how to walk into the room and feel like you have something to say and how to be heard. The third term, focuses on taking the newly gained confidence and communication skills and turning it into leadership in whatever field they choose to study.
