Are you familiar with Axial spondyloarthritis (axial SpA)? Most aren’t, as it works silently. Axial SpA is an inflammatory arthritis where the main symptom is back pain. It mainly affects the spine but can also affect other joints, tendons and ligaments. 1 in 200 of the adult population in the UK have axial SpA (AS). That's twice as many as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society(NASS) exists to transform the diagnosis and care of people living with axial SpA. Free movie event tonight! And i'm in it!!! Dear Friends of the CF Community, Life’s challenges can be more formidable for some than others, even among those who share a common bond, but it is as a community that we rise to face these challenges. A group of 10 people with cystic fibrosis (CF) wanted to share their message that anything is possible to the next generation growing up with CF, and the 26.2 Miles Apart project provided them the platform to do just that. Even before the availability of the new, life-changing CF specific modulators, ten people with CF agreed to run the Boston Marathon as a team only to be briefly stymied by the pandemic. Then another group of ten people with CF came together in 2021 as the next "26.2 Miles Apart" team to run the 125th Boston Marathon, proving to themselves, their community and the world, what is possible through a shared purpose and sheer determination. These are some of their stories… Please join us for this free event in the Seaport during NACFC, at the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter (100 W 2nd Street, Boston) at 6:30, Friday September 27th, to commemorate the 26.2 Miles Apart Team with food, drinks (beer, wine, soda, etc.), music by Qwill & Samantha Farrell, and an art exhibit by friends from our CF community locally and worldwide. We will be joined by family, friends and those attending the CF conference. No tickets necessary but feel free to donate to our sponsor, Closing the Gap Foundation (flyer with link attached, picture below), and space is limited so join us on a first come first serve basis. FAQ Is there a policy on CF patients attending this event? We are utilizing the same policy that the CF Foundation uses, see here: https://lnkd.in/eUxcrRm5. We also acknowledge that patients and families must make their own decisions, and we cannot guarantee that more than one CF patient will not attend this indoor event.

🌟 Exciting News Alert! 🌟 I am thrilled to share that a mix of cultural and philanthropic luminaries recently gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to raise funds to support young artists. This event was truly a celebration of creativity, and it reaffirms the importance of nurturing and empowering the next generation of artistic talent. 🤝 Collaboration for a Cause: One of the beautiful things about this gathering was the coming together of cultural and philanthropic luminaries. When leaders from different sectors unite for a common cause, amazing things can happen. The collaboration exhibited at this event demonstrates how impactful partnerships can drive change and support young artists in their creative journey. 💡 Nurturing Creativity: Investing in the arts has always been vital for the progress of society. This event not only highlighted the importance of preserving our cultural heritage but also emphasized the significance of fostering new artistic talent. By raising funds for young artists, we are nurturing the future of creative expression and innovation, ensuring that their talent will be recognized and appreciated. 🌟 A Platform for Young Artists: As this event successfully fundraised for young artists, it is highly likely that we will witness an influx of opportunities and initiatives for rising and aspiring talent. Young artists will get more chances to showcase their work, have access to resources, and broaden their network. - It's an exciting time to be a young artist, and I predict that the momentum generated through this event will have a long-lasting impact on the art industry, enabling more young creatives to thrive and follow their dreams. 🚀 Harnessing Technology and Creativity: With the ongoing advancements in technology, we have witnessed new mediums of artistic expression emerging. This event, and others like it, provide an opportunity to blend technology and creativity, opening doors to innovative projects and experiences.

Who do I know through this platform who's going to an ACRP conference for the first time with our ACRP 2024 event in Anaheim, Calif.? If you are willing to be quoted about it in a blog, please tell me in your comments below or privately at gcramer@acrpnet.org what you are most excited about experiencing at this conference and what attracted you to it in the first place. Also, if you are a returning visitor to ACRP conferences, how many have you been to and what advice would you share with someone who is going for the first time about how to get the most from attending?
