"Everything I did today was just a reminder of why I love what I do."
Earlier this month, nearly 800 educators joined us in Atlanta to experience the magic of the Ron Clark Academy firsthand. The energy, creativity, and innovative teaching left everyone energized and full of ideas. A heartfelt thank you to our educators, volunteers, and partners for making this unforgettable experience possible. #IgnitetheClassroom#RCAEXP
We are in Atlanta, Georgia! I am at RCA! We're seeing firsthand the amazing things that happen
within this school building. I am over the moon excited. I think my notebook is filled with about 1 million
different ideas. First, the energy here is just amazing. The use of music, the use of chants. I love the concept of teach to your highest student,
and then everybody else will catch up. The kids are treated like adults. It makes a kid want to be here.
Honestly, it's more over the top Honestly, it's more over the top than I was expecting. Blown out the water,
straight out of the water. The color and all the decorations
and the houses, the pictures. Looking up, seeing the dragons. I got a slide certified. Everything that I did
today was just a reminder of why I love what I do. As teachers, we don't get this
opportunity very often to do professional development like this
and it's just been an amazing experience. What you do every day
really matters. When you think about what
this country needs going forward, education has got to be
one of the most important things, so I want to thank you
very much for investing in yourselves. Education is our future, so with Huntington getting involved
and all the partners getting involved, they are making it
so that our future is going to be that much stronger. None of this would be
possible without a number of partners and if you all would
just give them a big round of applause
and thank them. To also know
that the community is here saying, like, I support you,
but also how can we help? What can we do? Now I get it. I get the brand that
Huntington is serving. Experiences like this literally ignite. I'm so energized,
so ready to, like, change the world. All schools should be able to function
at this level. To be here is incredible. This is a magical place, and I can't wait
to bring it back to our students.
