Taking a Leap of Faith: From NYC Hustle to Thai Adventure I'm often asked about my career path, but few know the story behind my decision to leave it all behind. Nearly a decade ago, I was a filmmaker in NYC, feeling creatively stifled and yearning for something more. The city's energy, while inspiring, was also exhausting. One day, I made a bold decision: with limited travel experience and a burning desire for adventure, I traded the concrete jungle for the sandy beaches of Thailand. ✈️ For three years, I immersed myself in a new culture, explored diverse landscapes, and continued creating films, but this time with a fresh perspective and a renewed sense of purpose. This experience wasn't without its challenges, but it taught me invaluable lessons about adaptability, resilience, and the power of stepping outside your comfort zone. Today, I use the skills and experiences gained in Thailand in my work and personal life, constantly seeking new opportunities to learn and grow. What are some bold choices you've made in your career? As we gear up for the release of our short film, "Teamwork Triumphs," I want to share a personal story that reflects the spirit of our incredible nation "Malaysia" and the value of teamwork. . Having worked in Singapore for 9 years, many of my colleagues there questioned my decision to return to Malaysia in 2016. They asked, "Can you survive in Malaysia?" My response was clear: "Malaysia is a land of opportunities and freedom. If we are smart and hardworking, we can thrive anywhere." . Upon returning, I decided to follow my passion and become an entrepreneur. Initially, I wasn't sure which path to take, but in 2016, I chose real estate. It was a challenging journey, and I started solo, hustling hard in real estate sales. I kept learning; how to do project sales, how to handle rentals, from residential to commercial properties. This year, I decided to join Knight Frank to master industrial and land dealings. . When we venture into a career, we must know it from A to Z. Being a real estate agent isn't just about sales; we need to know a lot to stay ahead in tough competition. Skills like cold calling, people skills,content write up,digital marketing, personal branding, speaking in front of a camera, social media presence, closing skills,advertising on Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok are crucial. . In 2023, I became the top 3 agent for Quarter 1 among thousands of agents selling Lagenda Housing project in Sungai Petani. I did it all alone – creating ads, running them on TikTok and Facebook, handling calls, follow-ups, and closings. Imagine calling 500 leads per month, achieving an average of 10 sales bookings monthly with a 50% conversion rate. The developer trusted me so much they invested RM3000 per month just for me to bring in 10 sales booking consistently over several months. . It was then I realized I was too tired doing all this alone. I needed to leverage my work smartly. That’s when I understood the importance of teamwork in real estate. It's not about eating the cake alone. We must have the heart to share our income with others, and in return, the universe will reward us. . "Teamwork Triumphs" is a testament to the values of unity, teamwork, and the power of collaboration. Just like the diverse characters in our film, we Malaysians come from different backgrounds, yet we unite to achieve greatness. . 8 years ago I bought a 1-way ticket to Bangkok and it changed my life. I was only supposed to stay 8 months for an exchange program. But ended up never leaving. When I first got there, I thought to myself: “Wow, it’s a lot…”  ↳ the humidity levels  ↳ the number of bikes on the road  ↳ the amount of people, everywhere at all time Definitely things I wasn’t used to as a European from a small coastal city. It’s now been 8 years and I couldn’t be happier. Simply because after the first few weeks (& then years that followed) I realized that: Thailand has some of the kindest and most welcoming people I had ever met  ↳ makes life here so enjoyable. Bangkok is a big business hub as it’s a great alternative to HK & SG  ↳ gives you plenty of opportunities. Thailand has some of the best food in the world at good prices  ↳ makes a foodie like myself very happy. Bangkok has amazing infrastructure, for all activities  ↳ keeps a hyperactive like myself always busy. + I met some of the most amazing people I've met in my life. Very happy and grateful for all the opportunities this amazing place has given me. Excited to see what the future holds and how we’ll grow Reachly above & beyond. Not trying to be too inspirational but if I were, I’d say: → Try things, dare to fail, and take the leap because "Great things await ahead". PS: I think that there aren’t many cities out there in the world that offer the same quality of life for price ratio, what’s your thoughts? 

I'm going to Singapore by myself, and I know I have to book and plan things properly, and, I could see different airways offering me different charges and they do have different timings, but If you see, these all ends up at Singapore, the same scenario can be applied in your present goals, let's say personal branding, you have goal as Singapore - personal branding, you will have multiple options to reach there, how you're planning, time you're spending, work you're doing, actions you're making, these all will determine your results, it is ok, if it is going to be late or very slow, atleast start thinking about the goal, your mind will start taking actions for that ready to go? #plan #success #actions
