💧🚛 HYDAC's smart band strap for hydrogen tanks: safe, strong, clever ✊💪🤓 Hydrogen is highly compressible, which is why a pressurised gas container expands when it is filled and returns to its original shape when it is emptied. Nevertheless, HYDAC's flexible band strap solutions always have a secure grip on hydrogen tanks and can withstand more than 20,000 refuelling cycles without any loss of function. The innovation: the combination of a band strap and an in-house developed sensor which constantly provides information on how the tank is mounted. On the road to #carbonneutrality, the future of mobility and freight transport is a hot topic. One solution is fuel cell vehicles powered by #hydrogen. However, fuel cells require highly purified hydrogen as specified by 𝗜𝗦𝗢 𝟭𝟰𝟲𝟴𝟳:𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵. In particular, sulphur-containing compounds damage fuel cells at trace levels above 4ppb and pose a challenge for hydrogen quality control. One solution is the high sensitivity 𝗦𝗖𝗗-𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬 Sulphur Chemiluminescence Detector combined with the 𝗚𝗖-𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬 Gas Chromatograph.
