During National Diaper Need Awareness Week (September 23 – 29) we're amplifying our efforts to end diaper insecurity and sharing how the Good+ network and community can join us. Here's a snapshot of our efforts: -We’ve donated over 36 million diapers since 2001. -We are a proud member of the National Diaper Bank Network, working to find long-term solutions to diaper need. -This year, we advocated with our NDBN partners to secure $1.5M in state funding to address diaper need across New York State. -We’re collaborating with Coterie to provide a year’s supply of diapers for families through the Coterie Diaper Share Program. What you can do: Make a donation to support our efforts in ending diaper need. Mail unused diapers to our NYC or LA warehouses⎯Coterie will cover shipping costs through 2025. In Phoenix, dehydration isn't just a discomfort; it's a life-threatening issue, especially for our homeless population. Temperatures often soar above 100°F, and without adequate hydration, the risk of severe health complications skyrockets. It’s a silent crisis that doesn’t get the attention it deserves. We often take for granted the simple act of turning on a tap. For some, it’s a luxury they can’t afford. By raising awareness and taking action, we can help ensure that everyone has access to this basic necessity. The Sullivan employees have donated to bring this support to our community. Empower survivors of sexual violence: support Outcry Witness today Survivors of sexual assault face countless challenges, and the decision to report the crime is deeply personal and always difficult. Outcry Witness is an online platform dedicated to giving survivors the power and control they need. We provide a safe and anonymous space for survivors to create a detailed record of the crime at their own pace, ensuring they have the option to report to the police when they are ready. At Outcry Witness, we believe in empowering survivors through choice and control. Our platform allows survivors to document their experiences fully and anonymously, without the immediate pressure to report. This crucial step helps survivors regain a sense of power over their narrative and their path forward. We have been operating in Beta mode since our launch in April last year, with survivors around the UK using our platform to store records of their experiences. High Lethality Risk Alert In the early hours of the morning, at 1:15am, Control Alt Delete took swift action to protect a Survivor of domestic violence. With the abuser set to be released from police custody, we changed the locks on the survivor's home to ensure their safety. Domestic violence is a serious issue, and we are committed to providing immediate support and protection to those in need. This life saving work is only possible due to donations and support from our community. The new Labour government have promised a ‘Knife Crime Action Plan’ to help stop vulnerable teens being drawn into a life of violence. What does the action plan propose? 👉Young people in possession of a knife will be referred to a Youth Offending Team. 👉Labour will ban ninja swords, zombie-style blades and machetes, and strengthen rules to prevent online sales. 👉Early intervention through a Young Futures Programme, run through a network of hubs. 👉Youth workers & mentors placed in A&E units and Pupil Referral Units. This a promising plan, but we believe that education is the starting point for real change.
