🌍 Europe is facing increasing competition in net-zero manufacturing It is essential for the EU to increase investments in its manufacturing capacity and decrease its dependence on imports. Ecorys, in collaboration with WIP Renewable Energies and Ramboll Management Consulting, conducted a study for the European Commission to provide insights into the net-zero manufacturing landscape across all 27 EU Member States. Our study addresses a critical challenge: the lack of reliable data on the EU's net-zero technology manufacturing. 🤔 Did you know that Spanish Government granted 56 #hydrogen projects during 2023? In 2023, the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation of Renewable Energies, Renewable Hydrogen and Storage in Spain granted the following projects: 🔹 19 projects on “H2 pioneers call”, promoting local production and demand and 12 focusing on industrial applications and heavy transport, with a total ELY power of around 309 MW. 🔹8 projects on “H2 value chain”, covering the development of the whole value chain. 🔹7 projects to integrate electrolysers in the industry, with an ELY power range of 25 – 52.5 MW.   Did you know that Spain foresees to achieve an #electrolysis capacity of 11 GW by 2030?   In 2023, Spain had 12 #HRS in operation, most of them are private for specific users as fleet cars and urban buses (Madrid, Barcelona and Zaragoza, Puertollano, Huesca, Albacete, Seville, Toledo, Madrid, Mallorca, Valencia). Moreover, there are 2 more under construction in Madrid for EMT buses, and 1 in Seville and more than 14 projected.   📃 In 2023, the most ambitious industrial projects planned for 2030 were: ◾ H2 Green Steel-Iberdrola (1 GW ELY power to be used in the steel industry) ◾Catalina-Enagas-Fertiberia (500 MW ELY power to produce green ammonia from H2 and inject in the NG network) in Teruel (Aragon) ◾HyDeal-Enagas-AcelorMittal-Fertiberia (3.3 GW ELY power to produce green H2 for industry demand)

The EU’s new Solar Charter comes too late for some of the German solar manufacturing sector. But better late than never. And we are still here, ready to make the ESC a reality.   The charter proposes that European project developers and installers should expand the criteria for selecting products beyond price—which many of our partners already do! They should also consider resilience, #sustainability, responsible business practices, #innovation, and other factors.   At aleo solar GmbH we’re well-positioned to offer exceptional value here, not just in product quality but also innovation, including in spaces like BIPV, and sustainability.
