📚 Our latest Case Study at HEC Paris, "Circular Magic? Carpets Reborn at Desso," sheds light on the transformative journey of Desso in embracing circular economy practices. ✍️ Authored by Professors Laurence Lehmann-Ortega, Hélène Musikas, and Ghali Benkirane, this case delves into Desso's innovative approach towards sustainability, particularly in the carpet industry where a staggering percentage of used carpets end up in landfills or incinerators. Desso's journey, since its acquisition by Tarkett in 2015, exemplifies a paradigm shift in the industry. With an astonishing 95-97% of used carpets ending up in landfills or incinerators in Europe, Desso's commitment to sustainability couldn't be more pertinent. 🔍 Discover how Desso has not only reduced its carbon footprint but has also redefined traditional business models. From innovative 'take-used-carpet-back' programs to collaborations with competitors and suppliers, this case study delves deep into the challenges and triumphs of embracing circular economy principles. ➡️ Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/eANpzUQ6 cc Mala Banerjee, Ioana Helou (Nicula), Céline Bonnet-Laquitaine and Anne MICHAUT #HECParis #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #BusinessInnovation #Desso #CaseStudy #KnowledgeHEC

Excited to share the publication of a case study I co-wrote during my time as a research assistant at HEC Paris, exploring the transformative potential of sustainable business models! 🔄 One of the biggest challenges we face today is showing that sustainability isn't just a moral imperative, but also a smart business move. Our case study focuses on Desso's pioneering journey into circular economy since 2012, showcasing how sustainability can drive long-term competitive advantage. 🔍 Key insights include: 1️⃣ Redesigning products for recyclability and integrating new processes. 2️⃣ Transitioning from product sales to pay-per-use models and implementing end-of-life recycling. 3️⃣ Collaboration with competitors and suppliers for reverse logistics and technology sharing. Grateful to Professors Laurence Lehmann-Ortega and Hélène Musikas for the opportunity to collaborate on this impactful project! https://lnkd.in/ehMspxz7

What events and awards influenced Torpol's development in 2023? 🏆🌱 The new year is the perfect time to take stock of. Over the past 12 months, we have recorded a series of successes that have made 2023 a significant chapter in our company's history. Innovation is the foundation of these achievements, as confirmed by winning the "Now Poland" Emblem in the 33rd edition of the competition. Our paper sacks for food products define quality in the industry. High standards are a constant value of the company, as evidenced by obtaining an AA rating during the BRC GS certification audit. We did not disappoint for the third time! Thanks to our consistent work on production safety, we hold an honorable place at the forefront of the industry. Partnership based on exemplary relations. The title "Exemplary Partner in Business 2023" of the Mlekovita Group and the Business Quality Certificate Business Fair Play and Silver Laurel are distinctions that confirm that our values - respect and ethics - are the basis for lasting business relationships. Integration with art. TORPOL's involvement in the cultural sphere is not limited to business conventions. Through participation in events such as the GrajEwo Jazz Festival or the Poznań Design Festival, and cooperation with esteemed artists such as Andrzej Pągowski, we integrate art with our business, giving it a unique character. Expansion at international fairs. Our achievements have not been limited to the domestic scene. A milestone in expanding our international presence was our participation in industry events such as Gulfood and Anuga. Sustainability as our mission. Pro-environmental initiatives are more than a trend for us. Participation in the DSR energy program, photovoltaic installations and innovative EKO SACK paper sacks made from recycled paper are proof that we are thinking along sustainable lines. "We are working for a better future." The successes achieved in 2023 are the result of a consistent commitment to shaping the future of packaging and the business environment. TORPOL's innovative solutions are the answer to tomorrow's challenges. 👉 https://lnkd.in/df2yu6M8 TORPOL ▣ THE ART OF PACKAGING 🌐 ekotorpol.com 📧 torpol@ekotorpol.com #TorpolTheArtPackaging #SustainablePackaging #EnvironmentalInnovation #EcoBusiness #B2B #Innovation #Ecology #BusinessCollaboration #torpol #torpolpapersackfactory #papersacksolutions #packaging #packagingyourbusiness #papersacks #paperproducts #ecofriendly #foodsafety #paper #ecopapersack #sustainable #torpolpapersackfactory #dairy #skimmilk #milkpowder #dairypowder #milkpowderproducts #milkpowderpackaging #milk #ecofriendly #foodsafety #paper #qualitysacks #sacks
