No time for Self-care. ❌ In a fast pace busy life schedule, many of us are struggling to plan and manage #selfcare routine. But here is why we must take this on priority in our daily life practice. 👉It brings mental and physical health harmony. 👉It reduces anxiety and stress. 👉It makes you more productive. 👉It gives you feel of joy and satisfaction. 👉Self-care is a way to show self love. ➡️Simple practice that can help us to implement self-care easily. ✔️Have a look on your healthy and unhealthy habits, identify the things which is helping you to grow and whats pulling you down. True self-care isn't just about nature walks and bubble baths. Self-care is often marketed to us as a product or activity that is a quick fix. In reality, self-love and self-care are complex issues. Self-care can absolutely include relaxation techniques like a face mask or the aforementioned bubble bath, but it's also so much more than that. When taking care of ourselves, we need to recognize the importance of self-awareness, the breadth of self-care practices, and seeking help when we need it. Self-care looks different for everyone. Self-care strategies are activities that not only help us relax and de-stress but actively build up our self-esteem and resilience in handling tough situations. Strategies can include organizational habits, maintaining social connections, and healthy routines. Self-care isn’t selfish - it’s essential. By taking care of ourselves, we can better care for others. The burnout among healthcare workers have been found to be extremely high in the recent years. As health professionals and caregivers, we pour so much into others, but we can't forget ourselves. On the International Self Care Day today, let's remind ourselves that we matter first. Some quick self care tips down below: 1. Take a Breather: Afterhour emails can wait. Spend a few minutes in mindfulness or meditation. It’s great for reducing stress. 2. Get Moving: Regular exercise, even a short walk, can lift your mood and energy. 3. Eat Well: Nourish your body with balanced meals and stay hydrated. 4. Sleep Tight: Aim for quality rather than quantity of sleep each night. 5. Stay Connected: Keep in touch with friends and family. Social connections are vital but social media can be switched off for a day. 6. Take Breaks: Regular breaks during work/study help you stay focused and energised. 7. Enjoy Your Hobbies: Make time for activities you love, like reading, painting, hike a trail (I do this when I want a break 😀) or simply just not doing anything at all.
