The most important thing for Starmer to do is to get energy costs under control. Forget the virtue signalling and get the country into a competitive position.
Once a great country, who spearheaded the world’s engineering, are now paying all this money , most to support foreign companies, delivering their over priced products and services, being conned into subsidising it with hard working people’s money- paying one of the most expensive fuel prices in the world even though they have their own oil industry, because they can’t be bothered to support their own country and the refineries that could produce it.. not even synthetic fuels! - so now they’ve chosen to be the world’s biggest clowns 🤡
This is what the causes of deindustrialisation looks like. Will the last person with a job in the UK please turn the lights off as you leave as we can’t afford the bill.
Yes, electricity in the 1990s in the UK used to cost £90 for 3 months worth of electricity. Now thanks to governments dumping bill payers to fork out subertises for the renewables and vat on these, the cost is £90 per month. Labour needs to take these levies off our bills. Aren't they supposed to be for the people /working person? Or are they just 🐂💩ing?
It's all fraud. Carbon tax, the lot.
Wait until Hinkley comes online, the contract price per GW is crazy

2moImagine if they built enough nuclear power generation that energy could be free. All of the companies would want to be based here. Slash corporation tax as another incentive and watch employment and the economy grow like mad
