We appreciate Columbia Basin Chapter of SHRM's support of our inaugural Best Places to Work Mid-Columbia program. #BestPlacesMC
What a morning!!!! Columbia Basin Chapter of SHRM was a proud sponsor of the first Best Places to Work Mid-Columbia. Thank you to the other sponsors, Kadlec and Windermere Group One, and the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business for bringing this to our community. Brian Moreno gave a funny (thundersnow), touching and relational presentation about what makes a positive workplace and culture. Kudos to this year's winners: Children's Developmental Center, Columbia Ability Alliance, INTERA Incorporated, Paintmaster Services Inc., Petersen Hastings Wealth Advisors and Windermere Group One. And our own Theresa Chow, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CCP who promoted our Chapter and SHRM and our impact, resources and support in the community. My last thank you is to Theresa Chow, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CCP, Nisha Phillips-Wade, SHRM-CP, PHR, Shannon Novakovich, MSML, SPHR and Cheri Montee, SHRM-CP for representing CBSHRM at today's event. Just a portion of our Board that is an amazing group of people supporting a great work environment. Can't wait for 2025's event!

New to Bluewood this year is a pizza trailer that will be set up outside the lodge. The setup will allow skiers and snowboarders to grab a slice on their way to the ski lift or the lodge, said Pete Korfiatis, Bluewood’s general manager. And he’s been cooking up bigger plans beyond pizza for Bluewood.
Ski area plans new lift, summertime access
