I help sports clubs to succeed with customised sports tours in Spain | Unique experiences that combine competition and culture.
Unpopular opinion: The real value of sports travel lies not in the competition, but in the cultural and personal experience it offers. Why? In a world where performance and results often take centre stage, I argue that sports travel, especially in youth football, Should focus more on the personal and cultural enrichment of players than on competition alone. Competition is essential, Of course, But the opportunity to explore new cultures, learn languages and build international friendships Offers far more profound and lasting value than any trophy. Conclusion: In the end, It is the ability of these trips to open minds, Foster cross-cultural understanding and develop more well-rounded, empathetic individuals that should really be celebrated.

Just got back to Spain. And immediately I’m slapped in the face by a lesson I had to re-learn. How much your environment affects you. Now I’m not saying Spain is “the place to be.” I just happen to have a few people here who push me to level up. Someone who naturally raises my standards every day. When I’m surrounded by high achievers, I naturally perform better - obviously. A few things I live by are that: → I learn standards for people with sublime achievements (in any vertical). → I live and spend 90% of my time with people aiming for the same as me. → I avoid time spent with people who make me stray away from my goal. If you’re trying to push for something great. Your environment is going to play a huge role. Ideally, you want it optimized and aligned with what you’re trying to achieve.
