Is paying $50+ a month for the premium version of a dating app actually worth it? We analyzed thousands of app store reviews for Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge, and found was that: 1) Slightly over half of premium users for Tinder were satisfied with the improvements in user experience and matching success, and a similar proportion felt like the price was worth it. And 2) An even greater 60% of premium users for Bumble and Hinge were overall happy with their purchase. BUT I do think it’s worth mentioning that around half of each app’s user base were already pretty satisfied with the free version to begin with. And interestingly enough, I also found that different people define “matching success” in different ways.
