This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have significantly advanced science or scientific culture in Portugal through their professional achievements and sense of duty. 👉Professor Manuel Carrondo was recognized for his pioneering work in animal cell technologies and visionary leadership that led to the founding of iBET in 1989 and its spin-off GeniBET in 2006. The 2024 awardees were announced during Encontro Ciencia 2024 (in Porto, July 3-5).
