    🎉 We are proud of being part of IN-ARMOR project!   IN-ARMOR is a project funded by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HADEA). Its goal is to optimize therapeutic epigenetic enhancement of innate immunity to effectively combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). The primary objective of IN-ARMOR is to refine the structure and function of a novel family of compounds known as Aroylated Phenylenediamines (APD). This will be achieved using in silico solutions and computer molecular analysis, alongside a nanotechnology-based drug delivery system, to validate their safety and efficacy.   Collaborating with leading professors, researchers, and industry partners, NUVISAN supports the process development of clinical candidates. To this end, NUVISAN will perform route scouting, polymorph screening, and develop analytical methods to support the kilogram-scale manufacture of the drug substance.   🤝 Together, we will make groundbreaking strides in infectious disease research!     🚀 Discover Innovative Drug Discovery Approach! Optimizing molecules for drug discovery is often a tedious and costly process. However, by implementing automation and miniaturization directly into biological assays, we can accelerate synthesis, save expensive reagents, and eliminate the need for extensive single-compound purification and handling. This innovative approach is commonly known as plate-based chemistry or direct-to-biology. In addition to classical small molecules, this method has been successfully applied to new modalities like PROTACs.     🎉 Award at Jugend forscht! 🎉 We are proud to announce that NUVISAN has been recognized at Jugend forscht for its outstanding project, Black “gold” from mushrooms – melanin extraction from Armillaria mellea . This prestigious recognition is a testament to our unwavering dedication to fostering future talents in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In this project, our Microbiological chemistry department collaborated with young talent to establish a protocol for cultivating fungi in shake flasks. His aim was to find the conditions that produce the highest yield of melanin by varying the ingredients of culture media and to conduct first purification steps of melanin.
