We will be reunited again next week along with other team members!!! Why are we all travelling to Vegas for a two day team event!!? Becuase it is something that is part of us, our team and community. We have a company tour, get together and training plus special updates. It is so much different being in the room!!!The industry we are in, is met with a lot of naysayers and sceptism, saying no without even knowing what they are saying no to. It is all aspects of life: spiritually, financially, physically, mentally and emotionally. Plus we have an online marketplace for shopping! BUT it is what you put into it. Having like-minded positive people and mentorship speaking from experience not theory makes the difference. #vegas #overcomenation

6th June. D-Day. What an incredible moment in history ❤️ I'm currently on my annual Centre Parcs trip and I always find myself in reflection mode when I come here... There's something about the fresh air, the trees and being surrounded by nature that encourages me to relax and clear my mind... Despite the efforts of my two children 🤪 The News has been sharing stories about D-Day and the incredible humans that contributed to that unforgettable time in our history and I've been reflecting on our work 'away day', which happened to be at Bletchley Park a week ago today. Bletchley Park stands out as a powerful example of teamwork and collaboration. The codebreakers there worked tirelessly and often under immense pressure, and played a crucial role in the success of D-Day and the overall outcome of WW2. The lessons from Bletchley Park are more relevant then ever: ✨The ability to work together ✨Leveraging diverse skills and perspectives ✨A meaningful and clear purpose ✨Shared goals ✨A strong team culture ✨Trust Times are a little uncertain at the moment and the upcoming election will inevitably bring about change, and one thing we need to be ready for in the education sector is the prospect of change if a new government come to power. I'm confident that AQA are well positioned for whatever may happen in a few weeks' time, and I'm confident that People Group are ready to support, challenge and enable the business before, during and after whatever change may come. . . . #dday #change #collaboration #trust #teamwork #purpose #sharedgoals #team #aqa #education #generalelection

Strategic Arts Consultant - Cultural Leader - Facilitator & Mentor - Business Development & Governance Specialist (freelance) with a background in Dance 💃🏻
This quote sums up my week… those that know and work with me know that I strive to live by my values. It’s been a busy one - I’ve been down to London and up to Lincoln - I’ve continued working one to one with some brilliant folks on their business development, I went to ponder what the future of culture could look like in Coventry on Weds 🤔🧐 Oh and on Monday, Matt Hardy and I launched a new venture (well, a teeny side hustle for now): a travel blog covering all of our worldly adventures ✈️ 🌍 🚆if you’re curious go to stampsinmypassport.co.uk 🤗 What I will say about how this week has gone is this ➡️ I’m still processing and reflecting on getting one of my clients - Propel Dance - to the Sadlers Wells stage within their first year. Yep, within their first 12 months. It might take me a while to consider the volume of that achievement, and yet, there’s lots more to do, a long way to go but that’s all framed by a really palpable feeling that we’re only just scratching the surface, it’s incredibly exciting 🚀 For now though, what this weeks achievement means is one step further in changing the mainstream dance sector into a more accessible and inclusive place that is, where disabled bodies are seen as the norm alongside and with standing dancers 💯 Happy weekend all ☺️ #valuesalignment #achievement #development #fulfilment #passionandpurpose #accessibilitymatters #inclusionmatters #wheelchairdance #sadlerswells #coleadership #changemakers #future #reflections

I've been thinking about what inclusion feels like after volunteering at my eldest son’s Cubs group last night… 💚 (They were building Airfix-type models and requested parent back-up) After scrubbing off the paint and unpeeling glue from my fingers(!), I reflected on how uplifting it is being part of a truly inclusive and supportive culture. This kind of positive environment was a big reason why we encouraged our son to join Cubs to begin with, as he has sometimes struggled for confidence. But being ‘a fly on the wall’ what struck me most about it was that… > Everyone has a voice and is encouraged to speak up > It is a completely 'level playing field’ > There is psychological safety to ask questions and suggest ideas > There is a strong sense of team and collaboration > The focus is always on learning and growing through fun Simple things but sadly, things that don't always exist in school classrooms, sports teams or indeed workplaces. But where this kind of inclusive culture IS fostered, the impact is hugely positive (and good for people and businesses). What do you think most needs to change for more organisations to foster this kind of culture? 🤔 #inclusiveculture #inclusiveworkplace #workplaceculture #employeeexperience #scouts
