The micro-enterprise (ME) has been playing a significant role in relieving hunger, ensuring good health, and building foundation for inclusive and sustainable economic growth, and sustainable industrialization. Majority of Bangladeshi youths are either employed in the informal sector or self-employed with low income and productivity. Continuous expansion of the micro-enterprise has been contributing to poverty alleviation but it needs further improvement for the sustainable growth.

#sdgs2030 UN Sustainable development goals for 2030 No.1 is No Poverty. Poverty eradication seems to be an unimaginable goal to achieve in the world of 6.1 people where more than 1.1B people are in extreme poverty. Poverty spread around 110 countries with mostly from Sub-Saharan Africa & South Asia. What we can do in our organizational level to help reduce poverty ? We looked at a possible product introduction to poverty affected cities in India, uplifting health on the journey to reduction of poverty . Poster campaign we developed targeted one of the most poorest region in India;Chhattisgarh , and how we can supply them with basic medication though self automated medical kiosks. This is a project we look forward to implement one day through the support of the community . #nopoverty #sdgs2030

In 2019, the household period poverty rate in Sri Lanka stood at roughly 40%, indicating that approximately 2.1 million menstruating women were unable to afford sanitary napkins. This highlights significant affordability concerns regarding menstrual hygiene products in Sri Lanka, particularly amidst the economic crisis, which has left around 7 million people facing poverty. Read on my analysis of the period poverty in Sri Lanka. 👇 https://shorturl.at/joLNW

60% of the world’s poor (in 2019) lived in Sub-Saharan Africa alone, while 81% of the global poor at the poverty line of $3.65 lived in Sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia. Modern technology plays a crucial role in addressing and eradicating global poverty. Is technology a problem or is it a solution? Perhaps, it is a bit of both. Complex, Wicked Problems refers to a situation in which the issue is a multidimensional one, with the root cause of problems often being difficult to see. Furthermore, the solutions to these problems may cause other challenges down the track. Complex, Wicked Problems is one of THRIVE's 12 Foundation Focus Factors (FFFs). Using the FFF of Systems Thinking, feel free to explore this fascinating article with an open mind. Why are these FFFs important? Well, if the SDGs are the goals, the Framework is the strategy, and our individual actions are the tactics. Together, we can all change the world for the better, into something beyond sustainable that is thrivable for everybody. Your support of iDE is helping create a Period Friendly World by reducing period poverty. Period poverty is an issue around the world. One of the ways people experience period poverty is a lack of access to products that work for them — to buy, to use and to dispose of. The thing is, problems and solutions look different based on each community's unique needs. With the support of caring global neighbours like you, entrepreneurs like Monowara are working on solutions. A single mother of two from Bangladesh, Monowara was able to connect with iDE and built a successful business sewing clothes and reusable pads, a period product that was difficult for people in her rural community to access. In her own words, "Now, I can take care of my family's needs and send my children to school." Finding solutions that last takes time and resources. That's why we need steadfast monthly donors. Would you consider joining our monthly giving community, called the Activators Circle?
