💡 Unicontrol3D offers a handy feature for creating surfaces directly from surveyed points. This is particularly useful when you don't have a pre-made 3D CAD model and need to define the working area for your machine on the fly. Here's a breakdown of the process: 1️⃣ Surface From Points: This option allows you to select points you've pre-surveyed on the ground. These points could represent the desired excavation depth, top of a slope, or any other relevant elevations. 2️⃣ Automatic Triangulation: Once you select points, Unicontrol3D automatically connects them using triangles, forming a digital representation of the surface. This process is called triangulation. 3️⃣ XML Surface File: The software creates an XML file containing the surface data. This file can be used by your machine control system to guide the machine's movements and ensure it adheres to the designed surface. Can the deck thicknesses listed in UL Solutions S700 series designs be substituted for deck thicknesses in P700 and/or D700 series designs? The answer is no. S-Series designs are evaluated by measuring only temperature of the structural members to establish beam-only ratings. Thicknesses required to provide the assembly rating must come from a P700 or D700 series design. Temperatures of the slab are not evaluated during the S-series test as an assembly rating is not to be established. As such S-series design cannot be used to provide a rating for an assembly even if the detail shows fireproofing on the deck. The thicknesses on the deck are specified in the S-Series designs only to establish the minimum thickness required on the deck adjacent to the structural member in an assembly, as heat can be drawn from the deck into the member.
